Not completely convinced on Lukaku, he's got loads of ability and knows where the net is but is inconsistent with it. He's still young though and will improve under Jose and being around other top quality players. No hiding for him now and hope he proves me wrong!
Has he turned up against anyone good? Always goes missing against the decent teams and bullies the bottom 10
Most Everton fans are not arsed about losing him hhhmmm direct football again on the cards? Certainly not a striker u would see linking with Micky, pogba with their quick feet

He's got the same temperament as Maureen, he sulks and moans ... they'll dovetail nicely - if it comes off!

Rooney's first touch is better to be honest (and that's poor). £75m - ffs!

Maybe he's just been tired of being around average players and at an average club.

Rooney was bullying established centre halves at 16 years old.

We're unlikely to see the likes of him again.
The way he burst onto the scene as a teenager was incredible...be a long time before a 16 year old starts his career like he did. Only other player I can think of that established himself to a similar extent at the top end of the Premier League at that age was Fabregas.

No coincidence that both have circa 600 career appearance and both have lost pace

He'd best get used to it in some respects. £75m...........at least the shirt sales will pay that off...oh wait, who wants a Lukaku shirt?

So United have average players and are an average club? rofl

Lukaku doesn't have the marketability of Pogba or Ibra, but he will bag us 25 / 30 goals this season which will get us in to champions league football at least so therefore will pay for himself. Pretty simple really.

Let's see how he fits in. He was good enough for the champions to want him. Very much a Maureen type striker.

Well he has scored 20+ for the last 3 season so reason to doubt why he wont continue with that.

Lukaku and Morata are very similar players. The way Pogba and Morata linked at Juve is possibly the aim for Jose with either.

Of course Lukaku is now over rated and over priced. My Everton supporting friends are gutted he's going.

In some respects; certain players, style....yes, you are bang average at the moment and are trying to buy your way out of it. Griezmann, Morata....loss of interest by Mourinho is a thin veil over the fact that they don't want to come. Replace them with Lukaku...ok...

You'd better hope so...got to replace 28 Ibra goals.

Maureen binned him off at Chelsea, and rightly so. I'm so glad we (the Champions) didn't get him. At £30m he would be fine, but at £75m....rofl Some of my fellow fans think he's the new Drogba, but he's more like the new Heskey.

We've dodged a bullet by missing out on him.

It's about scoring goals, Lukaku scores them, Heskey errr didn't.

Q is...can Lukaku do it in the really big games?

.
I'm struggling to see why he would want to play Maureen again too.

He's sure going to be lonely playing up front for United with the way they play.

He'd be well advised to start practicing shouting loudly.

He scores some of them, like Heskey. He's big and strong, but take that away and he's a very average footballer. Everton was his level. He has the first touch of Bernard Bresslaw.

He will be good at defending corners and should be OK for Jose's favoured attack method of,lump it upto the big man.smile

So does Rooney and he did OK. His touch has always been diabolical.

Jose didn't bin him off. Lukaku has said in interviews that it was his choice to leave.
