4-0?!

I'm going to see whether the bookies are already paying out on Liverpool to win the real treble this season.
1-1 with Wigan?

Perisic should be done next day or so apparently .
Good signing based on the little I've seen ,more orthodox winger than we currently have .
Only seen Youtube videos, but I dont really see it myself. He looks a bit ungainly and not great at crossing. Harsh to say this - a worse version of Martial?!
as a winger he's better than anything we currently have I believe .
From what I saw at the Euro's he seems direct, quick and got good skills. Also seems to have a good work ethic which is maybe what Jose sees in him.

United looking very ordinary going forward, too open in midfield and really being tested at the back..

RSL are on top and making all the chances.

There you go... RSL 1 Utd 0. It was coming, nothing like the LA Galaxy stroll.

If we can start winning the games where we play poorly ( there will be a handful) that is good news, especially with 10 men.

A real mish mash selection wasn't a help.
Strong squad assuming we don't sell anyone but the first 11 (guessing what that would be) still not good enough to challenge for the title.

I quite like the idea of not having a fixed 11, but agree with Franki68 that we're well short of having a squad of 18 world class players and 4 other top class players. That should be the aim to see us challenging on all fronts.

I'm baffled why so many people take pre season games so season... purely fitness especially at this stage

Rewind 15 years or so no1 even took note of if you were playing in them

I'm baffled why so many people think we take pre season games seriously ?

I think the concept of a first 11 is largely dead amongst the leading sides.

We probably have 2-3 'best sides'. Some players will be in all 3 of them; others just 1 or 2 of them.

Had you beaten the mighty Wigan Madrid, and we lost to any of the MSL teams, you'd have been on here crowing. But I can see why at the present time, you're not taking pre seasons seriously (unlike your fellow fans at Tranmere).

It's a bit like the spuds not taking trophies seriously. Because they can't win one.
