Mourihno looks tired and frustrated. He's not himself. You'd better have a good January window, or you could end up mid table.
I remember the many years when you were rubbish, you know.
I honestly don't think he can cope with the intensity of the Premier League any more. Either that or he needs to reinvent himself and I think he's too arrogant and stubborn to do so.I remember the many years when you were rubbish, you know.
Rooney isn't as sharp as he was but he is still hugely skilled and has more drive and determination than 90% of the team put together.
IMO we're saddled with the most over valued player in history who is showing us nothing that anyone else, anywhere would in terms of skill, presence and performance plus a 'new' striker who can't hit a barn door. The rest are generally good enough to stay (give or take).
It makes me laugh when the manager is complaining about lack of motivation when he's the dhead responsible for motivation!

Not sure about Valencia's injury, but he is a big miss for us.
Like GTO-3R said, problems all over the place at the moment, plus bad luck by the bucketload. It's going to take years to sort this mess out.
We just have too few players capable of the level we want, being dragged down by the rest who should be no more than squad players at best now (for a club with CL ambitions).
Club needs to let the players know that they can't get rid of JM by failing to achieve targets, back him for a while even if CL is missed and let him cycle the unwilling and unable out. This isn't a short term project and can't be fixed easily.
IMO priority needs to be getting some quality width in the squad now and allow Martial and Rashford to play centrally.
But it's a positive thread, so er, yay we have a new pillow and mattress partner

I think we do need more quality in, and certainly players that are experts in their positions. We seems to have lots of players that can play in multiple of postions but few excel in one.
Jose certainly needs time to bring the players in he wants in the right positions. At the moment its a lot of square pegs in round holes.
Another long season I think for us.

Mourinho and the back room staff have to find a way of helping those players to enjoy themselves on the pitch. There are too many mean and moody players out there who seem at the minute to be shadows of their former selves and it's affecting their performance.
Fundamentally they have to work much harder to close down space keep tight formation and in the final third make creative play and not be frightened of running at players and playing risky passes rather than percentage passes.
I don't know if the players are carrying out the instructions but listening to Morinho's after match interview I suspect they aren't.
It starts at the top though, the mindset has to change and then the results will come.

Was this not kind of his problem at Chelsea though...to many instructions, not enough freedom
Obviously as a play you need to abide by rules and instructions but it seemed at Chelsea , especially with Hazard there was to many and players were unable to play their natural game?
What I noticed last night is you play pace 'out wide' but they are rarely out wide, he has them narrow which is very odd considering the 2 players we are talking about.

Martial and Rashford, but especially Martial seem lost out there, they're both strikers for me. Mourinho said he wanted specialists...
