k all. Nada. Nothing. So it's irrelevant how many goals you scored, how many games you won out of the last 11, how hard you tried, how you're a one man team, etc etc.
I'd still say they are a better team than you lot. And that's not just because I'm a Liverpool fan. Given how far behind in the PL you finished it either meant you had a poor team or a poor manager compared to them. Your managers have spent loads of money in the last few transfer windows, and you're repeating the same tactic now. So why does it show you'll do much better this season? You're getting very close to doing the same as us in the past, although we had 2 great managers in a row rather than 1. However once they move on the club slowly declines and trades on a name afterwards. There's still time to turn it around, but there isn't a sign of it happening yet, and remember there are now a lot of clubs with money to compete against, who can fight you in signing the best talent. Plus have more recent "big competition" success. So even though you have a lot of money from support/the name still, it may not be enough as the last few windows have shown (and the same for us with the Suarez money on a smaller scale for example). No problem with optimism, but there's no big change in the league so far. Which is after all what you made fun of us not having won (understandably) for many years when you were winning it. So it's irrelevant how many goals you scored, how many games you won out of the last 11, how hard you tried, how you're a one man team, etc etc. Due to the lack of history and money the spuds are in a more precarious position if they don't start winning stuff soon. However generally they do recognise that they are doing well now, but it might not last if massive bids come in for their players/ if they want to move on.

I'm going to try and make this the last thing I say about Spurs on this thread, which happens to be about the most abhorrent club in the world, literally the world, and is home to the most horrid fans.
Credit where it's due and I say this through gritted teeth because of you lot - Spurs did play some lovely stuff last season and seem to have a good first 11 whatever that actually means. However - you may well find you have now peaked. That's got to be a worry for you. All the other teams around you have invested heavily in their squads and you quite simply haven't. This first 11 thing I keep hearing about (including on Talkste today when I was in the car - wasn't some of you lot ringing in was it?) is just waffle. You don't have that luxury next season unless perhaps you are willing to sacrifice all comps bar the premier league. Pivotal season for you if it goes wrong you'll be in the wilderness for a long time probably and all your posturing on this and other threads will frankly read embarrassingly.

I am bad at football. But I know Spurs are fked.
A few bad games in a row and the rumours will start; by January, there will be talk of Kane and Ali listening to offers; one or both of them will be gone by the summer.
I am going to cherish the remark a few posts ago that it doesn't mean a thing if Spurs win nothing.
