Delighted that you got hammered. I think we may just have taken City to the cleaners ourselves.
You're delighted your biggest rival won?
Biggest rival? In what sense? I have no bone with City, as a club, or supporters. So yes, delighted that they hammered you and that we beat them.

Obviously I don't mean as title challengers wink

What do you feel about your chances now? That dystopia Wembley factor, the "teams know what you're about factor", the just got slaughtered by a team that won't be challenging for the title factor. Looking a bit grim for you I'd say.

The chances of what?

I don't know of any Spuds that think we can win the title while at Wembley, maybe a few deluded ones. It's going to be tough they'll be a lot of teams looking at top four this season.

Sensible analysis.

Indeed, the Spuddies could be in real difficulty if things go wrong this season. Top 6 will be difficult enough,

If they turn into mid-table fodder then the likes of Kane & Ali will be running out the door next summer.

Matic, Herrera and Pogba midfield.
Defensively solid.
Would love Matic at Liverpool.
Plenty of clean sheets for Man Utd this year.

But they play the best football and it's not about trophies.

Not seen anything indicating fellaini is sold at the moment .
I think united are at a crossroads with matic and perisic ,both would be good additions but both would command ridiculous fees considering their age means they will have no resale value in 3-4 years.

Matic would be a great signing and really solidify our midfield allowing Pogba and Herrera more freedom. With Pogba further up the field he will be different class to last season.

Fellaini isn't good enough but got to respect the fact he always gives 100% to the club and team. Good luck to him if he does go.

Not from an official source (unless my mates not telling me something), but looks promising. This guy should make a big difference smile

Pictured going in to Carrington today for his medical. Announcement tomorrow apparently. He's a big upgrade on Fellaini. Knows how to win the big trophies. Which is what it's all about of course.

If that goes through it's a great signing. I know he is 29 and rumours of 40m is a lot, but lots of premiership experience and knows how to win trophies.

Very good as a DM, and decent passing range. Huge upgrade on Fellani.

Fellaini's just scored against Valerenga. I echo the feeling of others on here really, he's not tip-top quality but always tries hard and he's generally had a positive impact. I also think he's worth more than those nutters though, I would have thought any Belgian or most Dutch teams for example would be delighted to have him.

Agreed. Hopefully they'll keep getting game time and keep developing.

Given your progress these last few years anything less than top 4 and you're going to start becoming a mid-table yourself. Given the amount of money you spent on players last season I would be worrying that you're doing the same again, with the same result. Compare that to the spuds who have a settled young team and I know which I'd pick to finish above the other!
