Yes, I can see the money being passed around Europe once the deal is done.
For instance Mbappe's price tag would have been viewed as a hands-off in the past but now someone might be seriously considering paying £160m for a teenage prospect.

I might be alone but really hope we dont drop a shedload of money on Bale, we've got enough injury crocks in our team without paying 90 odd million for another

That's not a merry go round. Why does Countinho going to Barca have any relevance to Real signing Mbappe? The 2 aren't connected. Mbappe to Barca perhaps....

Barca are obviously going to buy at least 1 if not 2 major stars.

Hazard - Barca
Griesman - Barca
Costa - Athletico
? - Chelsea
? - Chelsea
etc

Only really works with tranfers between big clubs though. If Monaco sell Mbappe, the chain ends there as they aren't going to spend massive money replacing him.

If I was PSG, I would have waited until the last day of the window to trigger Neymar's release, meaning no time for Barca and other clubs to spend the cash.

I think it's inevitable. There's still 4 weeks left of the window and I'm pretty sure that Barca will want to replace Neymar, looks like Coutinho is the one for them, he could go for more than Pogba did last season. Jose has said he wants another player so I don't think we're done just yet. Is Bale the one? Hmm I'm a bit suspect about him too. Good player and would be an asset to any team but the injury's are undoubtedly a concern. At say £50M or £60M I think he would represent a good deal. At £100M+ it's a risk too far for me.

If we do get Perisic/Bale then I think we've had a great window and have a squad that should be challenging for the title this season. I can't wait!!

Never underestimate the power of bragging rights. All part of the Galactico philosophy...;)

Besides RM have sold Morata and will want to replace him no doubt.

I'd prefer Peresic to Bale tbh but I think Jose likes him and might have a late stab for him at 60M ish. It could be the conditioning staff at RM that are not working well with Bale because he never suffered at Spurs or before that?!

Personally I'm happy with the team with Martial on the left and Rashford on the right with Lukaku in the middle. Team for me now is:

DDG

Tony V Bailly Lindelof

Matic

Miki Herrera Pogba Martial

Rashford Lukaku

I think the squad is very strong but a first 11 is still lacking maybe 2 players (left back and a proper winger) needed to be realistic title challengers .

Lol. Many flaws with that. The main one being you're not going to win the bet. I think we both know that. So I respect your altruism.
As long as we have Klopp I have faith.
Did you see how unlucky we were against Wigan?

The Degsy Hatton fund for proper scouse has already got your 50 quid in its 2018 budget.

On the sky sports football app there's a feast for your eyes. Highlights of the 8-2 against the Arse. Young's best game in a United shirt. Rooney hat trick. Nani's audacious chipped goal.

Brilliant...

I think the most important thing about the Matic signing that everyone seems to be overlooking is, we get to hear the Nemanja song at OT again. biggrin
