Jessie underrated. ESP alongside rash

Tommy looks promising.

Linda's had a much better second half, ie, he's not touched the ball.

Agreed on Lingard linking up with Rashford. Lovely understanding.

I am still not 100% sure about Lingard, but I do love how direct and enthusiastic he is.

Lindelof is best with the ball at his feet. He's actually a tidy footballer, good first touch, decent distribution. He struggles with awkward situations though.

If you could combine his feet with Smallings heading and bravery you'd have quite a player. Give him time.

He looks best when the ball is in the oppositions penalty area. A good 80 yards away from his head or feet.

Indeed Aside from his lack of pace ,power ,heading ability and positional sense he has it all.

We can say what we want on here but he's a big investment and it's important for his sake that match going fans don't get on his back. The raw ingredients are there. There's no better set of fans in my opinion for getting behind the players. He needs us now. hippysmile

Fully agree, at the match we have one job - support. I know options are limited but do think he needs to be taken out of the firing line the same as Mhki last year. It worked for him (for a while) when he came back in.

All the evidence we have points to him being a very bad CB. It is reckless to ignore that evidence and play him just because we were stupid enough to pay big money for him.

Jose had never watched him play before signing him, that's a big worry when you are chucking 40M at something.

If that's right, it's sheer madness. Although you could argue that if Jose had turned up to Benfica games to watch him, he still wouldn't have seen him play ....

I said from the very first friendly he played that he didn't look great.
I hope I'm proved wrong and he settles and turns out to be a good player, I just can't see it at the minute.

I can't see it either. And I'm not sure how many chances he's going to get to prove himself. Perhaps because he was bought under Maureen's watch, there'll be more pressure to retain him and therefore give him chances to prove himself. He looks totally out of his depth.

It is not his fault that he was bought for big money - the transfer market has lost the plot, especially in the middle c.40m bracket. Kyle Walker? Heaven help us!

It is his fault that he is really bad at defending. We have much better players in the reserves, and those lads deserve a chance.
