Absolutely. If Migs can consistently put in those type of performances then it's going to be a while before we see Karius again!
There must be something in knowing that Karius is genuinely challenging for his place that pulls out that extra little bit from Mings, even unconsciously, that makes the difference. Certainly worked yesterday. He assures me it was a coincidence and he wasn't watching the TV at the time, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt this once.
I've been converting our guest bedroom ready for the arrival of number two this weekend, the Boss instructed that we needed a sofa-bed in there for guests, so I sorted that, then added my projector and watched the second half on a 150" screen. She's not realised that what was supposed to be the babies room is now the sport room!

Having reflected on the game, I now can't help but be a little disappointed.
They started pretty well, but after they had a couple of chances I thought we played OK and whilst not exactly in control, we didn't really look under pressure.
They have been on a cracking run of form as well, so that has to add some context.
In the end they resorted to proper old fashioned route one football with speculative balls to two big front men - I suppose this indicates that we at least had parity in the midfield battle. How much did their starting midfield cost?
Firmino has been out of sorts and either him or Wijnaldum should have buried one of their chances.
Overall, a fairly comfortable draw against a team on the up at Old Trafford.

I wouldn't take any chances. It makes sense against us. Since we put pressure on the opposition high up the pitch then when we have a few players putting pressure on their player it effectively removes those players from the game by hitting it over the top of them. We also then have more space at the back since we push on up the pitch.paulrockliffe said:

Well played. Extra man points I think for that. Well...what an utter PITA... News agencies last year were announcing that Matip had made himself unavailable for selection - so if he thinks he retired, he only did so when the African Nations Cup squad was close to being announced. If he'd retired EARLIER there would be a record of it somewhere.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
