If United win the Europa cup and finish outside the top 4, we will qualify if we finish 4th. In this scenario, UEFA will allow 5 English teams in the CL.

If United finish 4th and win Europa League and we finish 5th, only top 4 will qualify so we would miss out.

For other variations including Leicester City winning the CL this year, have a read of this... there could be scenario where finishing 4th does NOT qualify you for CL football next year... albeit it is probably highly unlikely....

This is true. But I might have a slight smile of satisfaction and look forward to the transfer window with a bit more optimism.

Bloody hope so...I think he's better suited than BR to CL, at least. Assuming we get there of course.

If we got 4th I'd be over the moon, everyone moans about our 'paper thin' squad, we've had a bad run of injuries to important players, the African Cup took Mane away at a crucial time. But we will still qualify for Europe, Bettering Utd in the league would be a bonus.

If we can get top 4 with the squad that we have, keep our key players and bring in more 1st 11 quality rather than squad fillers. If we can do this, then we will be even stronger next season.

I'm still not convinced on Lovren. I think we can do better. At the very least we need to improve on Klavan as our only centre back cover.

I've been really impressed with Matip, reads the game really well and some of his coming out of the defence with the ball and making a forward pass has been very Hansen like.

He will certainly add 1 more top CB this summer with Virgil his number 1 target - main problem with them 2 is how often they play

I'd be happy with Virgil and Matip as first choice CBs, Lovren and Klavan as third and fourth choice. We also have Gomez who could do some cup games as CB too. Maybe look at the lad from Burnley as one for the future too?
