Sigurdson is a match winning sort of player. Just like Pedro with his goal just now. Lallana for me is that similar sort of player who needs to step up with goals.

Utd have got four huge games coming up now. City I just can't see not qualifying. Between us and Utd I think.

Hopefully we can get the result we need tomorrow night.

Pedro's goal was special, even if I was wishing for Chelsea to drop points.

Someone mentioned potentially putting in a bid for Sigurdsson in the summer; would definitely add quality and experience to the squad for relatively not much money? However doesn't quite fit the FSG-model as unlikely to recoup any outlay in future.

I can't see United doing it. They don't have a defence anymore after today Of course still can't count them out though...

With City looking like they are going to draw 2-2, we are just holding about holding onto 3rd place. Exact same points, number of games won, drawn & lost and same goal difference - only ahead as we have a very slight better goals scored!! #tight

I was amazed Utd and Citeh both dropped points - but that puts it back in our court for a top 4 spot now, providing we win tomorrow. Which is hardly a given! But today's results are an unexpected bonus. If the team can't make the most of that little gift then they're not worthy of the shirt.

To be honest, I haven't seen anything in 2017 that makes me think we can get max points for the rest of the season. Only if they start playing as they did in the first half of the season.

4 cup finals to coin a phrase...can see united drawing with Spurs & beating Arsenal, so we need 10 points out of the last 4 games imho to sneak 4th place.

Exactly. Nor would I have had Utd down not to beat a poor Swansea side. They're still on for the "Unbeaten since October" trophy so I'm sure they'll be happy.

It's frustrating at this end of the season when such a decision can be the difference between them finishing 6th and 4th!
