I can't see City dropping more than 2 points in that run and I can only see United dropping points against Arsenal. Whereas predicting the performance of our threadbare first XI is nigh on impossible.

We have had bigger mountains to overcome though ....

It's for us to throw away. Utd have 2 tough games sandwiched between a semi final and are running short of players.

Not that this makes it any easier for us. Klopp has repeatedly proven that he struggles getting results against teams that sit deep and defend. Of our last 4 games it's only Southampton who I think that will genuinely try to play an expressive game.

It's not going to be straightforward and I don't think any of us really believes we're going to win 4 on the bounce after what happened at home to Palace last week.

I'll be pissed off if we don't get a dodgy one tomorrow hehe
It's frustrating at this end of the season when such a decision can be the difference between them finishing 6th and 4th!
Not only that Jammy but I feel more sorry for the relegation threatened teams. Either Middlesbrough or Swansea (or both) will be relegated this season and the two points they've lost might be critical. It's hard enough for those teams to get anything out of games against the giants but when the referee is making shocking mistakes like that, it's time for change. Both refs were in poor positions to see; the Sane one in particular where the ref looked to be behind three or four players. The Man U one, Kevin Friend didn't seem to award the pen until the MU players started bawling at him.

For the sake of the game, this has to change.

Utd will get nothing at WHL unless Spurs implode ... which is very doubtful. I can see them winning that pretty easily.

Surely these career changing decisions have to be addressed .

We could clearly see within 10 seconds that rashford & Sane had cheated the officials.

And while I'm on my soapbox, the argument that these things even themselves out doesn't completely hold water.

For example....at some point this season, 'Boro (or Swansea) will/might get a penalty they shouldn't have had. The one on Saturday cost both sides a win, so they picked up one point instead of three - the one they get that they don't deserve might be when they are 3-0 down, 3-0 up and might not affect the game as much. So yes, in a way they might benefit from a ref's mistake one day but not to the same level that they lost out at.

You often see that. If the game is 3-0 and five mins left, the team with 0 might get a penalty. If it was 0-0, 1-1 etc it rarely happens

Play crap and still get picked it seems. Origi surely can't play any worse than the last game. I much prefer Firmino in the false 9 than Origi in whatever it is he does. I'm sure the lad would be a decent striker in a more conventional formation.

Coutinho doesn't look too good after that challenge. Hopefully only a dead leg?!

I'd be surprised if he's back for the weekend. Shame.

Lallana has loads of energy, just nowhere near enough goals or assists. I'd even be tempted to see Wijnaldum further up and Lallana is the middle.

Looks like business as usual so far. We have all the possession with no real cutting edge in the final third. Watford look dangerous on the break especially with the pacy Niang and Deeny.

Lallana looks sharp since replacing Coutinho. Hope he can last the game.
