I'd really stop stressing about the fees and wages.
It's the new reality.
I wouldn't be surprised if the fee was 50-60 million in the end.
Mental.
not stressing 1 bit - its nice to see us in the game with high fee'sIt's the new reality.

i have been saying for ages 100k a week soon with be like 50k a week - its obvious if clubs are earning an extra 100m a year the agents will want a large % of that for the players as they are the ones giving the entertainment (apart from old trafford)
50m is basically 30m 2 years ago - 200k is basically 100k 2 years ago

rumours virigl is all agreed with his agent - just now about the fee
reckon its 200k a week - mega mega money , but in my opinion he is by far best CB in the prem so need to pay it if we wanna compete with UTD/CITY/CHELSEA
I'm wondering if the big contracts we gave to the likes of Lallana and Lovren were more to show players like VVD that we will pay big wages?reckon its 200k a week - mega mega money , but in my opinion he is by far best CB in the prem so need to pay it if we wanna compete with UTD/CITY/CHELSEA

You're already paying these types of wages! You have the 3rd highest wage bill in the league. It's not like you're some paupers hoping for scraps.
I don't think we've ever paid a player £200k. I think Gerrard and Suarez were close and Suarez new deal was going to take him there but he left that summer. Our top players are on around £150k and most are £100k and below.type-r said:
Is that really true? That means we are paying more than one of: United, City and Chelsea. Seems highly unlikely?!
It was a dodgy table on the Spurs thread, had the following in £mUtd 232
Chelsea 222
Liverpool 208
City 198
Arsenal 195
Spurs 23 and 100 packets of hobnobs
This was for 2015/6, it includes all staff not just players, and would include (for example) BR and staff redundancy payments, one off sign on bonuses etc
without player by player back up of those stats its hard to compare - so treat with caution as an indicator of what players get paid

How does that sound more reasonable than the official report and accounts published by clubs?? All that site has done is had a guess based on stuff in newspapers!http://www.totalsportek.com/money/liverpool-player...

more reasonable as a gauge of what players are getting paidaccounts show what is expensed / not correctly accrued for that legal entity and may include one offs and may not be comparable (eg some entities could include staff of holding company or other commercial activities v some purely the football team and coaching staff)

apparently Ozil and Sanchez want over £350k a week to stay at Arsenal
insane, but the money is there in football now, so they will probably get it
Ridiculous requests to be honest. Wouldn't like to be put in Arsenal's position. I think I'd sell Ozil and do what I needed to do to keep Alexis.insane, but the money is there in football now, so they will probably get it
