It's only mid july dude,
I know - hence me wondering why people are complaining about our signings so far? I don't think we have done worst compared to other clubs, plus still plenty of time. It does sound like you lot are happy to not sign anyone on your thread as you all keep mentioning no one affordable would be decent enough to come but be ok to sit on the bench.

The BBC are saying that Chelsea have just bought a Real Madrid reserve for £70M ! how can we compete with that ?

I don't think we're very different from the other clubs. We have not lost any first team players so far, and we got Salah.
Who has been properly improving? I have not been paying much attention so some of these might be outdated/ missing some new people.
United lost Rooney (maybe past it), get Lukaku, but they might be losing Ibrahimovic who got them 17 league goals. Without those goals United would have likely done even worse than they did now. So have they really improved?
Arsenal got Lacazette, but might lose Sanchez etc.
City have got a Tottenham reject from the description on their thread, . Anyone else?
Tottenham have sold players, not bought anyone big.
Chelsea - anything there?
I don't think we are any worse than others, and better than some others in terms of improving on before.

Have there been any marked improvements to any squad yet; I don't think so.

We can't and won't. But we finished higher than teams with bigger budgets than us last season and will do so again this season. The BBC are saying that Chelsea have just bought a Real Madrid reserve for £70M ! how can we compete with that ?

We have just had 65m bud turned down according to reports ? So we can I would not take too much into whether if he is a reserve at Real or not
If take prob 5 of their reserves for over 50m
Great news for us ..even more so if we pull Kieta off

Falcao?
Mercenary who did a year at UTD because no-one else wanted him. Earnt £300k a week and then fked off at the first opportunity without so much as a backward glance.
I fell out of love with football a little bit then. I found it sickening.

will Morata be as good in the prem as Costa is ?City have already signed Ederson, Silva, Walker and are expected to sign Mendy and another full back. 2/3 players there will improve their first 11 and their bench will be quality as they haven't really let anyone of note leave.
Whether we're reluctant or simply don't have the financial backing to compete, it's easy to see us getting left behind a little when we really need to push on. Another season like the last 2/3 years and I can see players like Coutinho leaving to win trophies.
Granted there's still 6 weeks left of the window, so I just hope we can pull off a couple of signings that will fit into the first 11 immediately.
