Barcelona have informed Liverpool that they have until Sunday evening to change their mind on Coutinho or it will be withdrawn. The Catalan club has managed to do something which has served as a source of amusement for Liverpool’s power brokers.
A bid Liverpool have twice told Barcelona not to make is rebuffed and their rivals’ next move is to threaten to take it away. (Paul Joyce)

I didn't notice the crowd turn on Hendo RT? Yes there was a big moan for a bad pass but there was a few of them getting handed out to a few players..
1st half was awful nearly fell asleep
Really like the look of Solanke could turn out to be a true bargain...wont be long till he is 2nd choice
Lb looked a lot better but like everyone says our CM3 is simply not good enough at all...could replace all 3
I was there and I also didn't notice the crowd turn on Hendo - groan a bit after yet another poor pass but not turn on him. He was bad today though.1st half was awful nearly fell asleep

Robertson looked solid and a pleasure to watch - great buy if he keeps it up.
I actually think Gomez and Klavan were decent (apart from Klavans one mistake but one is to much) and both looked assured.
Our defence looked the best it has been for a while but CP were toothless - however the attack was easily displaced by the back 4.
Sturridge can just leave - he looked so disinterested.
I think Klopp got his formattion wrong and was too back heavy and played at times without any front line it appeared.
Today we got 3 points and a clean sheet against a bottom half team which is great but CP were poor tbh

I don't remember him as being outstanding Adam. A young lad who came in and looked a decent prospect definitely.
He was pulled out of position a few times early on and Matip ended up at right back. It wasn't tactical as it soon stopped. He got better though it was obvious he was limited going forward, especially his reluctance to cross the ball.
Robertson was much better on the left, there was a moment in the left half where he controlled the ball with one touch and whipped in a delightful cross. But then one is a full back.
Gotcha thanks, glad to hear Robertson looked decentHe was pulled out of position a few times early on and Matip ended up at right back. It wasn't tactical as it soon stopped. He got better though it was obvious he was limited going forward, especially his reluctance to cross the ball.

Yes the rumour in the knowledgable press is 80m guaranteed, staged over 5 years. Yes, really. Then a further 34m in add ons consisting of multiple titles, CL wins, top scoring, Ballon d'Or wins, etc etc. fking nuts basically.
As you say, 100m up front, or at least 50/50 over two years, plus say another 20 in realistic add ons which will be achieved, appearances, a title etc, then I'd head up and pack his bags.
A win. Beautiful.
3 points. Fantastic.
Clean sheet. AMAZING !!!
Sign of a good team when you win but haven't played well? That is definitely debatable.
Yes a win is a win. Nothing worse than playing well and then losing. Still you cannot hide from the fact nor sweep under the carpet what we are lacking as a team. Defensively we weren't tested but we all know this is still a major area of concern going forward. Nothing seemingly has been done even just from a coaching point of view to address that. Midfield-wise we look very one-dimensional. Whilst "attempts" have been made to address these by Klopp by going after targets - and on paper at least very decent targets - these are still holes that need to be plugged. Holes that have had the summer to execute and season before to identify and plan. Putting all your eggs in one basket? Hmm.
So yes, a win is a win but you can't pretend to be happy when it seems to be all a bit deja vu. As a fan it is frustrating as it always feels like running in cement.

Agreed to all of that although it was an unconvincing win against a poor CP side, and Benteke should have equalised, we missedtoo many chances. Relieved rather than excited.3 points. Fantastic.

Can't help feeling a bit despondent about transfer situation right now, I will reserve judgement till the end of the month but if things stay as is I will be pleased we have told Barca to do one and kept PC (as I suspect will many other owners/managers/fans of other EPL clubs) but aghast at the ineptitude of our signing policy - clumsy in execution and bereft of a plan B.
But again I reserve judgement.....
Blimey, that is a real shame about Lallana being out until December if true. If Coutinho does play for us again, he will need to be relied upon to get Barca out of his system pretty pronto to help us establish some creativity in midfield; which of course he is certainly capable of. With 10 or so days to go before end of the window, there isn't a murmur about us signing anyone as of right now. However am happy to reserve judgement until then.
