Are you guys really not worried about signing anyone? Several of us said last summer you needed more strength in depth and sure enough you struggled when you had a couple of key players out, even though you were quite lucky with injuries.
Back in the Champions League and I imagine everyone will be expecting a bit more of a decent effort at it this season, plus playing at Wembley, plus the expectation that you'll at least make top four again, if not have a shot at the title.
I was one of them to be honest, then look what happened we didn't got loads of injuries then ended up with a stload more points and finishing second. Ive given up questioning this manager, simply put I don't care whether we get players sell players or not as long as its Poch decision im happy.

I think we all trust our Manager to do what's best for us.
We are going to struggle to sign quality players to sit on the bench.
I'd rather bring in the youth players TBH
No one is better than who they have remember Jammy - why would they sign anyone?? We are going to struggle to sign quality players to sit on the bench.

As I've said before there is no one in world football that is guaranteed to improve the starting 11 that can be afforded in either transfer fee or wages.
If you can think of anyone that will come in and improve the 11 for <80k then let me know cause I can't think of anyone.

If being "quite lucky with injuries" means losing the main striker for a quarter of the season and him still winning the golden boot I'll have some more of that luck please. Joking aside if you look at it objectively - there was no correlation between having key players missing and our results. We struggled in some games when we had a strong side. There were games we totally dominated and didn't convert that domination in to goals. And there was the odd game we just didn't turn up to. We had games where we coped remarkably well with key players missing and we had games where we were dirge when fielding all the first choice players. That's just football.
Of course if we had endless pots of cash like the big boys do then it would be great to have a plethora of 50m-60m players on the bench to bring on when we're struggling but we don't, so we've got to cut our cloth in the transfer market accordingly.

Well, I certainly did not copy and paste a link from my Facebook feed directly on to here, if that's what you are insinuating, Mickk!!!!

Was Kane really missing for 2.5 months? I remember him being injured for a few weeks back around October time, but it didn't seem to be a serious injury? Other than that I can't remember any of your main players being out for an extended period of time?
Rose missed 20 games (I've triple checked that because it seems incredible). Tobes missed 8 games. The Tonghen and Walker each missed 5 games. Lloris missed 4. That's quite a chunk of missed games for our first choice defence and goalie.Lamella missed 24 games. Kane missed 8 games.
There were others but I'd class those as the main ones.

18/9-16/11/17 = 12 games missed12/3/17-7/4/17 = 4 games misssed
So 16 games missed in total, 8 of which were EPL matches (and still scored 29!)
Winks? Hardly a critical player to your team!
To counter just those three, we had Henderson our captain out for most of the season, our best goalscorer in Sturridge, Ings out for the season, and our first choice CB pairing (Matip/Lovren) played together in less than 10 games. Lallana was out in a crucial part of the season, as was Coutinho and Mane missed the end of the season.
I really don't think Spurs had a worse time with injuries!

We also did quite well considering so many of our players went missing at various points like Karius. There was also quite a few injuries too.jammy-git said:

7 Away season openers on the spin...
At least you'll have a chance to get a few wins before going to Wembley.I do feel this season Liverpool had more small few game injuries than we have had in previous seasons, which is probably a result of the way Klopp wants us to play - more running around = more injuries. It's also true that you'd struggle to get anyone quality to join the team to sit on the bench for the money you'd pay them.
