I reckon he would be a great asset to the club.

He could work in the club laundry, teach the washing machines how to go round and round.

On the other side of things, this is a very sad tale.....

He was at Yeovil when I worked there full time. Lovely lad, has a little lad down there too from a relationship, and along with Ryan Mason, Andros Townsend, Dean Parrett, Jon Obika and Danny Hutchins, weren't a moment's trouble.

It's one of those cases where you wish someone had said (or rather made him) "buy yourself a house, give yourself a grand a week to live on put everything else you earn into a trust, that you can't touch until you are 35".

Yep, this is where maybe a new breed of more "moral" agents come into play, or maybe a representative who actually really cares about the player's wellbeing. Or maybe the PFA should up their game a bit.

I think at Yeovil we got him on a youth loan which meant we paid absolute peanuts to have him at the club.

He wouldn't be in casinos until all hours if he didn't have the money to spend. He even says so in the article himself that it was a major issue. He'd also still have the 70% of his earnings left if he hadn't had access to them. Whilst money may not be the biggest factor, he clearly wasn't in a position to deal with it responsibly and someone should have stepped in to save him from himself.

He'd have been a gambling alcoholic if he were a builder or an IT consultant or a hairdresser. Addiction doesn't give a st about profession.

So what do we need?

Another CB, we play alot with three and only have four players in the rotation here, that's just asking for injury issues.
ermmm and Lamela to stay off the marching powder injury table.

Spunk the rest of the transfer budget on current player wages and performance related bonuses.

That Picture looks well iffy .

I was there yesterday the middle section was still a blank canvas. My son is up at the home of football today so i'll get an update

In other news the BBC are reporting that city have opened talks with Kyle Walker would be sad to see him go but if he wants out then fair enough.

What do we need?

We need another defender to cover for injuries and the extra games we'll be playing next season. We can probably fill this with existing players coming back but if not we'll need to buy someone in. If we don't loose Walker we might be OK but it looks like he is on the way out.

We also need a bit of strengthening up front. We can't rely on Kane all season and Son can be hit and miss. We need another attacking option.
