Given the price for Sigurdsson, no chance you're getting Barkley for £15m.

1 year contract v 3 year contract though.

No chance at 15, but not near 50.

I don't care how much he costs Tbh.

I'm not a fan of his but if Poch wants him then thats fine by me.

Agree with BCM
If he is gonna prove your squad what does it matter if he was 15 or 40m? It does not effect u as the fan 1 bit we never see any of the money anyway..

Clinton Njie has been sold too.

That must mean we must be approaching something like £80 odd M

You might manage to win something this season then - top of the net spend league I guess?!

Nah, United would have beaten us to that. They are just sooooo unlucky, particularly last season with all those draws that should have been wins.

I think Barkley is worth a punt to be honest, its going to be closer to £30 million than £50 million from what I have heard from a few folk who know more than me, which in the past I would have said, no chance, but I think we all need to readjust to how transfers are going, when you consider Citeh are going to end up giving us nigh on £54 million for Walker!

Alas, Poch is proven for improving players, I think there is a lot to work with in Barkley, what else is out there?

Yep, can't wait to watch Janssen and Sissoko being absolute world beaters this season.

On a serious note, anything think there is any hope for Janssen or should we be looking to sell while the sellings good?

Unless he changes his style of play he's going to continue to be a square peg in a round hole. However given we've got CL football he's worth keeping. Until Christmas, obvs.

I think we are rather fortunate to have Janssen sitting on the bench tbh.

Where else are we going to get an international striker that's prepared to wait for his chance ?

I like him & i like his attitude.

Janssen has scored 7 international goals in 13 games, Arsenal paid in excess of £40m for a player who has scored 1 international goal in 11 appearances....

He's not a bad player, he's young and has a good attitude. He also did a good job in holding up play towards the end of games and even chipped in with a couple of assists. Who else is going to sit on the bench behind Kane, Man United paid £75 for Lukaku who isn't half the player Harry Kane is...

Dutch Emile Heskey.

Laughable how short people's memories are about first seasons and subsequent performance, Bale?, Lamella (pre cocai hip injury), Walker etc etc

He scores when he wants! I think we're going to see a different Vinny this coming season, I hope so anyway because I like his attitude and work ethic, but then I thought the same about Soldado. I think the majority of Spurs fans loved Robbie too. As has been said already, where are we going to get another striker of his quality ( okay so the flood gates haven't exactly opened for him, but he has goals in him ) who is prepared to wait his turn whilst watching and learning from Harry Kane?
