To be fair he does look like he'll be the next big thing. If he and Lemar both go as rumoured then Monaco will have pretty much sold their entire first team
Seen plenty of those come and go tbh140 million plus - madness
I don't even know where the madness starts and finishes now. Yes that is bonkers, but then so is £90m for lukaku, Liverpool are talking about spending £70m on a Injury prone 26year old centre back that hasn't managed more than a handful of caps for the worst dutch side in my lifetime, and another £70m on a midfielder no one has ever heard of. And that's before you even start looking at city who have just spent £133 million on bloody fullbacks! that's the position where at school you played the class retard.
The whole of football seems like its gone mental this summer.
It really is.
I know Levy has a vested interest in not splashing the cash and I can be quite critical of him sometimes but its hard to argue with what he says here

Ironic in that Spurs unwilling to sell players for anything less than what they perceive to be silly money. £50m for a full back etc... Problem is this creates a precedent in the market that will come back to bite them when them when looking to sign a player.I know Levy has a vested interest in not splashing the cash and I can be quite critical of him sometimes but its hard to argue with what he says here

Why don't spurs take advantage of the current lunacy by selling 3 or 4 stars and paying up much of the stadium? Don'y want to do an Arsenal and spend a decade underachieving as the debt is slowly paid down...

1 main injury in 5 years now make a you injury prone??
He broke into the Holland team when he got noticed at a half decent team in Celtic at 24 then played every game bar injury
But your story does sound more fun for a team who Cant buy anyone as prices are just too much ... its just mot fair
He was by far the best CB In the league last year till injury ..everyone could see that, quicker than your2, much better in the air , can read the game equally as good
But then again there is no1 in world football who can in improve your team bar bale , Messi and Ronaldo, so I kinda see why you couldn't see that

What's the difference in spending large amounts on players to spending large amounts on facilities?I know Levy has a vested interest in not splashing the cash and I can be quite critical of him sometimes but its hard to argue with what he says here

He's got 12 caps for the sttest dutch team for decades half of which were for friendlies... for the bestest centre back in the whole wide world that's a crap return given he's over half way through his career. its not like he's up against stiff opposition..
Let me qualify I think hes a good centre back, very good in fact but £70m that's just plain bonkers.
And as for making things up that does seem to be your MO, nobody has said its not fair that other teams are spending money, I don't want to speak for my fellow fans but the consensus between my friends is one of bewilderment, we are glad we aren't doing it, there is no envy or jealousy here, we are very very happy with our lot currently.
As for there is no one in world football that could improve our lot again you seem to be struggling reading, there are plenty of players that could improve our team, plenty but what we have said is we simply wouldn't be able to afford those players. Especially when you look at what all these players are going for this year we couldn't even afford the ones that wouldn't make our first team.

Spurs fans seem to be the only ones not bothered about the clubs lack of signatures
Our last 8 league games saw us win 7 lose 1 score 28 goals & concede just 5
A settled team that should hit the ground running. What's not to like ?
