The result was a bit flattering TBH. Our back four stepped up and got caught out far too often - same problem as was happening in the games in America. Still some work to do there. on the upside it was great to see that new player we've got who looks like Sissoko but isn't st.

I agree to a point, but this was Juventus , Champions league runners up & we really should have got at least a couple more.

Having said that , Hugo did make 3 world class saves didn't he.

We had one of our youth products slot in perfectly there funnily enough his name is Kyle Walker- Peters , bloody impressive he was too.

I guess if he gets crocked then we can always play this season's Man Utd main target Eric Dier there.

Poor effort sir !

Glad we got our main target Matic instead of Dier. Much better footballer

Half the price too :thumb up:

You get the player you wanted all along & we get to keep the player you really wanted all along too & you saved yourself a good £30M or so.

Everyone's happy

Our goals were sooo nice.......

Important we got the Wembley crap out of the way, we won, move on...

Now that Marcus has signed a new contract, he wasn't taken on tour, would have liked to see him play..

Finally, we won't miss walker.

Just got back from the game, Impressive performance from our lads, we made the second best team in Europe look average which is no mean feat. Yes we got caught out on the break a few times but our defenders are quick enough to get back and I'm sure that will be worked on.

Both goals were brilliant, the second by Erikson was right in front of us when he sold the dummy and made Buffon look silly

Positives

Most of the players performed really well, even Sissoko didn't look totally crap and made a couple of very useful runs and was very unlucky not to add to the tally.

Our younger players did very well with both Carter-Vickers and Anthony Georgiou looking very useful.

Negatives

Looks like Trippier took a nasty knock and had to come off, he was having a very good game too. Hope it's not anything serious.

Janssen, someone said it in this thread before, he's a square peg in a round hole. I don't think he's a bad player but this is the first time I've been able to watch him live. He actually made 3-4 very good runs and was pointing and screaming for the ball but Tottenham don't play that way, often preferring to move the ball around in small triangles rather than the direct ball forward. Either that or his teammates just don't trust him enough to pass to him. Either way he was ineffective yet again but I kind of feel sorry for him. we just don't play to his strengths.

Overall though after this showing I am a bit less nervous about playing at Wembley and the fact we haven't bought anyone yet.

Oh and thanks for the tips about parking at Stanmore and tubing in, worked a treat. thumbup

Same happened last year as well, hed be in the box asking for the ball and one of the youth players would just loft it over his head to someone on the other wing so he was never getting any service

Cannot understand why Spurs not trying to bolster the squad with signings?

First XI a match for anyone but its a long season and with Champions League if they are serious about challenging then you are really going to need a much larger squad IMO
