Much as it would be brilliant to watch Bale play for Spurs again I don't think he'd actually fit into our lineup. The current squad isn't really about 1 man, it's a team effort and putting a name as big as Bale in it could very well disrupt that fine balance. I'd rather spend the money we'd spend on Bale getting 3 decent players to strengthen the whole squad tbh.

Well that's Rose gone, what a disgraceful interview to do a few days before the start of a new season.
Not the best way to conduct himself but you wonder if this is the thoughts of a number of players but they have been too scared to say anything. There was always going to be a tipping point and this could be it. Coming 3rd and 2nd in the league players will want to be paid accordingly.

Have to agree, The second best team in the land really should be paying the second best wages. There was always going to be a tipping point and this could be it. Coming 3rd and 2nd in the league players will want to be paid accordingly.
All these “I want to win medals” quotes show a total lack of self awareness. Maybe if you played better you might have won something? You haven’t earnt a medal but you just want to be given one. It’s like signing for Barca and being 3rd choice LB, where you only play a handful of games, in which you failed to impress but hey, you have a La Liga medal to show for it. You didn’t “win” that medal, the rest of your team-mates did.
And I’m sure he’d be thrilled if we signed Luke Shaw (for example) and he’s now limited to the occasional midweek run out in the League Cup….He was happy to sign a 5 year contract and struggle by on £65k a week….simply hand in a transfer request if you want to go.
He’s either deliberately trying to make his position untenable in order to engineer a move or he’s thick. How you can be injured for 6 months, whilst still collecting your salary and yet think that you can dictate to the club and your team mates what they should do, almost staggers belief. If you are a Kane, Eriksen, Tony or Hugo and at the top of your game, then maybe you have earnt the right to make demands.

He won't be playing for us again.
Nope cant after that. He's shown his true colours there have been rumours behind the scenes for a while that he's a bad apple BUT the chairman does have sit up and take notice. The wage cap in this day and age is ridiculous. its Simply unsustainable. As I keep saying you can earn more at palace than at Tottenham. We've over achieved during the last few years, mainly because of the manager. No matter what that idiot Rose says its not about trophies or seeing his mum more, its about money plain and simple.
