Only City seem to keep consistent performances. None of the other 'big' clubs have been keeping good performances going at big clubs when they go to some of the other smaller ones.
Yep. City are on fire at the moment but their excellence is being amplified by everyone behind them tripping over mouse st.Ascayman said:
Utd are literally stinking out the league. No matter how frustrating we can be I couldn't watch that brand of anti football week in week out.
I think that shows the measure of a lot of Utd fans. I'd like to think that if Liverpool or Spurs were playing such boring football there wouldn't be many of the fans that would be happy, but I don't see much concern on the Utd thread, they don't seem to care how they play, as long as they get some points.jammy-git said:

Any news on Wanyama ?
I think we are missing him big time.
At least the end of the year before his return is the latest news I've read. We are also missing Toby and dare I say it Lamella.I think we are missing him big time.
When a team sit back and park the bus we are really struggling to break them down. We don't have anyone at the moment who can take the ball and carry it into the last third and maybe take on a player or two. We had a similar problem last year although we sometimes found a way through because Alli and Eriksen were in much better form but they have been very hit and miss this year.
We just seem to run out of options in the last third. We can't keep relying on Kane and Son to pull goals out of nothing which is mostly where our goals have been coming from lately.
I agree our performances in the CL are a shining light but it makes it even more puzzling that we can compete with the best in Europe and then struggle against minnows at home.
Far be it for me to tell Poch how to do his job but he doesn't seem to change our style of play too much which is fine when we are playing teams who play openly or we can counter attack as in that type of game, we can mix it with the very best but when teams decide they are going to stick 10 men behind the ball, our game plan doesn't really change and it just doesn't seem to work. Dare I say it but I think some teams have sussed this out and know how to exploit this now.
As we get better as a team, more and more of the smaller teams are going to feel compelled to play this way against us or risk a drubbing. Other teams in the top 6 mostly seem to have worked out some way to get around this but we still haven't found our way yet, we just don't seem to know how to play any other way at the moment.

Is that any different to most teams though? It's very very hard when a team sticks 10 behind the ball. You always need a moment of magic from someone. Are teams setting up a bit more defensive against you now? lack of pace in the team a bit of an issue? our biggest problem was always the teams who played like UTD with 5/6 aty the back then 3 in front, this year bar the most defensive team we have played UTD we have coped fairly well at home - Salah's runs in behind the CB's have helped incredibly

He played 60 minutes for the reserves last week, which I thought was a good sign. Fingers crossed he's all sorted and can get match fit and back to his best quickly.
Was he actually any good? It was so long ago I've forgotten.Im wary, speaking to fellow fans theres been a lot of re-writing of history when it comes to Lamela, he's got better the longer hes been out injured.

Who is this Lamela person? I thought you could only get new signings in the transfer window? Will he play for you at the weekend?!

That Liverpool thread has gone to st since BCM was asked to visit less frequently.
BCM was nothing compared to RT. It's mostly happy families now.HairyPoppins said:
Liverpool...well...
We can almost certainly only be better in the 2nd half of the season. It was January when it all fell apart for us.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
