Think you're missing the point on purpose TBH. If Liverpool played all their home games at Everton for a season would you say Liverpool were still playing at home? Or Man U playing an entire season at the Etihad?
I think that when Spurs move into their new stadium that will be home from home, not bloody Wembley though.
Not sure I agree tbh - its more about the noise the home fans are giving you, the getting behind you team than a player looking round and thinking oh the ground looks a bit different - why the hell should that play on a players made I think that when Spurs move into their new stadium that will be home from home, not bloody Wembley though.
I can get you playing at Wembley and it not being like a home game if it was 30k spurs and 30k someone else but when its going to be say 57k spurs fans and 3k away then its a home game - you are playing on grass same as WHL, a bit bigger not much as posted by a spurs fan above
You should be used to it with the fact you are training on a like for like so if your fans get behind you which im sure they will there is no reason to treat it as an away game...
just reminds me of this whole new modern mindset that playing on a wed/sat is ok but a thurs/sun is not - its total modern bullst, given as an excuse for if you lose -
well thats my opinion anyway - I just think there at that many excuses these days as to why you lost and want to go out of a competition its pathetic....

As I said, I don't think it's a tangible issue per se. However, if we have a bad couple of results in the beginning, they'll be a media frenzy of "Wembley hoo-doo" and then that will surely play on individuals minds. This is where the coach earns his money. Win the first few though and it will never be mentioned again.
Agree.I think they quickly need to establish a match day routine for Wembley in terms of players travelling to the ground, pre match preparations and so on to make it as much a home from home as possible. A few good home results early in the season and everyone will wonder what the fuss is about. The longer we fail to get a win the more it will start becoming an issue.

It will be better as you'll have the season ticket holders moved in blocks, rather than having them scattered all over the stadium. Should help with the atmosphere. I will admit that there were a lot of 'tourists' at the European games, and I would have preferred the capacity to be 60k with the top tier shut, but that's just me being selfish.I can get you playing at Wembley and it not being like a home game if it was 30k spurs and 30k someone else but when its going to be say 57k spurs fans and 3k away then its a home game - you are playing on grass same as WHL, a bit bigger not much as posted by a spurs fan above

I showed those charts the other week. The gap between the top 5 spenders and the rest is massive, compared to the 6th placed and he rest.
The top 5 'should' finish in the top 5 every year with that sort of advantage.
According to Conte, money doesn't matter....I assumed he is just referring to United? The top 5 'should' finish in the top 5 every year with that sort of advantage.

Doing things on a shoestring is interesting. Watching a documentary on how a family of four can survive on £2 a day for a month is fascinating but at the end of it you just want to rush down to Waitrose. Joe Lewis could spend more so wouldn't you prefer him not to be so tight?

No, our club lives within it's means, financial doping is for johnny come ltely small time clubs who buy silverware.I'm not criticising Joe Lewis. I don't think he runs Spurs within a budget because he doesn't want to have an unfair advantage over other clubs.
It's just that he treats Spurs as an investment. He didn't mind gambling shed loads on currencies and having a financial advantage, which damaged the UK on Black Wednesday, nor investing millions on works of art for a profit. I've got no problem with this because if I had the brains and capital I'd have done the same. The point is he's interested in a financial return and whether Spurs win the league or not it's unlikely to have a major effect on their valuation so why bother investing more.
I know that when I refer to Roman I'll unleash the usual stuff about gangster and blood money bla bla but the difference is Roman isn't worried about the investment, he just wants to win with attacking football. Joe Lewis is rich enough to compete, he gambles £30k on one hole in golf apparently. Wouldn't it be nice for you if he gambled rather than invested in Spurs?
