If you worked at Waitrose or Marks & Spencers and were one of the best rated checkout guys around, would you be miffed that someone working at Asda or Lidl was being paid more than you? Yes.
not if the Asda/Lidl was situated between Dudley and Birmingham and the checkout manager was Mr Pulis
But that's missing the point.

As has been mentioned on here recently, Levy seems to like giving out contracts. If any of these Spurs players had agents that were worth their salt, they'd be using the wages being offered at a lowly club like West Brom as a marker and telling Levy that players like Alli and Kane should be on at least 150-200k/week.

I imagine the players are very happy - you certainly get a sense from the Spurs squad that there is a togetherness and happiness within the team.

But a players agent is employed to act in the players interest, which principally means getting their client the best financial package when it comes time to renegotiate the contract.

Yes, but the Agent is employed by the player.

The players all know what's what & who's earning & who's not.

Things are happening at Spurs & maybe, just maybe these players want to be part of it.

If any player is unhappy at Spurs i'd rather we just show the door. Harmony & togetherness is the key I feel.

And because Spurs give out contracts regularly for increased performance the agent is doing a good job. The only way he could do better job is try and line them up to one of the mega spenders...but then Levy holds most of the cards as the players are always on long contracts.

The agents can tell Levy whatever they like - all the players are on 4/5 year contracts, so what are they going to do when Levy says "no"?

aha - what their agents were smoking when their clients signed is a different question - agree with you on that

It seems that the players have bought into Poch's plan. It also seems that Poch wants to build something and take the club into the new stadium.

If he leaves, all bets are off. As will be half of the squad.

That's from when he was playing for them for 1 year, so of course he had to be in an Arsenal shirt. He's been at Tottenham since the age of 11 and he's still here, so I doubt he's going to go running off to Arsenal just because he played for them when he was 8 and he was released...

Mind you he always looks very conflicted when he scores against Arsenal (all the time) so maybe I am wrong biggrin

No, the pictures of him aged 8 playing for Arsenal have him in a Dreamcast kit whereas this was taken a few years later.

City have wasted no time on the spending spree.

I'm thinking the 2 Manchester clubs spend half a billion between them this window.

Never let it be said that they're check book managers though!

That Dreamcast kit was 2000-2002 and the O2 kit was from 2002-2004 so the photos could have been a few months apart. Nice try.

Sure, but he's about twice the size. Something doesn't quite add up.

Makes me sick the way these clubs try and buy success.
