Alternatively, United's defence is very good at keeping the attack away from their goal, forcing them into speculative long range efforts. Whereas everyone knows that you just need to be patient and sooner or later Liverpool will gift you a golden opportunity.

Unlike most of the other teams in the top 6, I actually don't hate Liverpool so don't begrudge them some success, as long as it's not at our detriment. However all 3 of City's goals where scored through goalkeeper error or defensive sloppiness. Teams don't so much break down Liverpool's defence, they just sort of leak through it. In at least 2 of the goals, one City player skipped past 2-3 static Liverpool players to get the shot or pass in. If it happened once or twice you might understand but there is a definite pattern that emerges over time.
I think this current Liverpool team are probably one of the best I've seen in a while in terms of going forward but they desperately need to get some backbone and strength into that defensive line and a new keeper ASAP.

Can't remember, it was so long ago that It's not worth thinking about IMO.
