You've just spent £75m on a defender and will be paying him £180k a week. That's in a different league to us and is more in line with state sponsored clubs like City and Chelsea. Perhaps you were feeling a bit flush after your sale of Coutinho or perhaps it's a sign of a change of strategy?

I'm not so sure, we're only paying Mo Salah £90k a week and he's been involved in more goals than Kane this season.

Re: VAR.

It's now no longer play to the whistle. Defenders call for offside, lino flags, ref. Blows whistle, forward carries on regardless and scores as defence reacts to whistle.

VAR gets involved and the forward was onside. Goal given........
