I can’t see the sense in Arsenal selling to their PL rivals!

They have form for it though - Cole, Van Persie, Nasri, Sanchez etc

£18 million for a PL proven striker who can play in the LC and FA Cup is a bargain
And still not a bean to Exeter City for Ethan Ampadu...

My cousin plays for them (no, really) and he's a lifelong Chelsea fan, so that's good enough isn't it?

Who's your cousin? Oh, and unless he brought £3M with him, then no, it's not really good enough.

Paul Jones, played for you before and has just returned on loan

I've met him a number of times when he was here previously, liked him a lot, thought it a shame when he moved on. Think he'll struggle to get games at the mo, the lad who's currently in has been playing well for a while now. As a bit of triv, did you know Paul was the first player to save a penalty at the new Wembley?

Anyway, where's our money for Ampadu?

Doesn’t look good. Not a player in the transfer market any more, manager seems disinterested maybe by the clubs attitude.

Is it wrong to leave 30 minutes before the end?

Really? It's Roman who wants Carrol, Crouch and Barkley?

Nah, they're all UEFA regulations signings.

They'll get a new manager next season, blow a load of cash on stars, win the league and then lose interest and implode the following season. Rinse and repeat.

You never get the sense that there is a long term plan; that they are building a squad or there is any continuity. I guess if you are long on money and short on patience it's to be expected. Never a dull moment though.

I could always give my cousin a call? He would have done a better job tonight.
