I can see us lining up to try and defend that 1-1 away goals deficit unfortunately. Still, whatever happens we can still laugh at United.

I'll be going in with little hope or expectation.

Unfortunately I'm on a flight tonight taking off at 8:30 so I'll know the half time score and have to wait 2 hours for the result.
Might be all over before you take off

hehe

More likely we're one up giving me false hope to find out later we conceded three in the last 20 minutes.

I'm glad it's Conte with the job of motivating them tonight and not me!!

Looking at the last few games you could probably do a better job

Spuds and Man Ure have totally taken the pressure off. If we don't get thru, and I doubt we will, it's not as bad as it could have been.

Does it make it any better?

Should we not look at ourselves and, if we play like we did away to City, be disappointed and critical?

Chelsea are 6/1 tonight, decent price for a team of full internationals.

I hope you win tonight.

We should treat it as an individual game regardless of what our compatriots have been up to, but it's impossible not to use the teams around us as a yardstick; and when one capitulated badly in the second leg, and the other had a simply abject home performance to a supposedly inferior team, short of getting beaten 5-0 tonight, our performance will be viewed in a better light - especially given our opposition.

In a way, I hope it gives the team an extra lift; we can go for the game with a little freedom, and if we get a result it's a sensational performance.

Giroud up front... Christensen in central defence.

What could go wrong?

Happy for Utd to crash out but I’d like to see your lot get through.

Everything Or nothing. But at least we've not lumped Hazard into a false 9, and have a chance of balls into Giroud bringing Hazard and Willian into the game.

Let's have some optimism - Morata will come on in the 90th minute and score the winner. Then get two yellows for dissent.

Well of course you would. It would mean Barcelona are out and would likely make you 2nd favourites after Real Madrid.

At the boarding gate. Shall I save myself the agony and just switch off the phone now?

The commentators didn't understand the away goals rule last night either.

They say that goal doesn't make much difference to Chelsea as they still have to score. It does as a goal before would win the game. They need to score to draw now.
