This may well be a small administrative matter, but I would not have thought the BBC would cover it unless something bigger at play.

If RA is struggling to get into the UK, where does this leave Chelsea this window. Does it have any impact at all?
The club is debt free, owes RA nothing, and for the last few years has been run like a normal business, and not as a rich man's plaything.
Roman bought another £75m "equity" in the club in 2017. Just like any normal business, and not as a rich man's plaything. Nothing to see here, no siree.

Another season, another trophy.
It's all about picking up trophies even if it hasn't been the best season.

If it's a penalty then Jones has to go !! Last man goal scoring opportunity etc. !!
wrong - no double jeopardy (ie penalty and red) if genuine attempt to tackle
Correct. Would only be a pen if he pulled him back, or deliberately tripped him without trying to win the ball, or handled it on the line.
I thought it should have been a red too. Was never going to win the ball from his position with Hazard between him and the ball, so was never a genuine attempt.

I thought red too, clearly last man, fouling in the box. Simple, right? The rule refresh by IFAB in 2016 changed it though, stating players only get red carded for penalty offence "for holding, pulling or pushing, not playing the ball or having no possibility to play the ball, serious foul play, violent conduct or deliberate handball."

So a definite red then.

No, can't agree with that. He definitely went for the ball, and actually on the replay wasn't a million miles away. It was a last ditched tackle in a difficult position but there's no doubt it was a genuine attempt to get the ball.

Maybe they could add a sort selection for the threads, like a retail site, such as sort trophies by

or in City's case

It was a deliberate foul though as he had no chance of winning the ball unless he 'played' Hazard first.

I suppose the 'only' difference is, we started being successful before Roman took over. FA Cups, Cup winners cup, European Super cup etc...and consistently finishing in the top 6 in the seasons prior to his takeover in 2003. City's success was more immediate due to money.

Who said I was complaining? I was merely offering a suggestion for improving the site functionality.

If you see the replay from behind the goal, it's actually not that far away from being a wonder tackle.

It's clear to most people that Jones made a genuine attempt to play the ball. Hazard's too nimble for him, he was very unlikely to win the ball but he tried to win the ball. Therefore, a yellow is right.

The rule is meant to punish defenders that yank a player back by his shirt or scythe down someone violently for example. Also for goalkeepers who, once a striker has gone round them, grab their ankles while nowhere near the ball. All of those are red card offences.

Twig is right and the LOTG backs him on this.
