Didn't Baddiel campaign for the club to do more to stop supporters chanting 'Yids'?
It is offensive and is directed against Spurs self identifying as jewish more than against the jewish community in particular. It's a particular problem between London clubs and Spurs.
If you want to stop it, then surely part of the solution has to be to discourage Spurs supporters from using it?

On a serious note the only thing I've heard over my time of going to games is the 'who's that team they call the Chelsea' chant which has a line ending Tottenham are a load of y***. In recent years this does seem to have been replaced with more of a grunt than actually saying it.

Don't think anyone is going to deny there are a few undesirables within the fan base who hold racist/anti-semitic views. Just that it is in the minority rather than tarnishing us all with the same brush.

Look at the people who've had bans and you'll see a common pattern emerge. No one who acts like a mature adult has been banned on the footie forums!
