Pulisic: "It's a privilege to have signed for such a legendary club."

Agreed.
Hang on.. I'll back you up in the TOS biggrin

But not this one chap

Legendary club ? He didn't say that did he ?
Yep. He knows what he's on about. The only club in the capital to have won the Champions League ;-)
He's sounding like he's read Robbie Keane's book.

Does Sir have any facts, figures, numbers or evidence to back up this claim?

Left after 80 minutes. Before this season I never left early.

This is the most boring Chelsea team I've ever seen.

If he's been watching since he was 7, so 2005, then 5 PL titles, 5 FA Cups, 3 league cups, 1, Champions League win, 1 Europa league win.

Can you give me the stats of a more successful English club?

Since we don't know when Pulisic started to watch the Premier League, let's not assume Chelsea have been the most successful anything.

JLC25's claim that we have been the most successful side since he's been watching it was on the specific proviso that he's been watching since 2004/5. That's what you seem to be arguing about. rolleyes

I said it because it's a pretty safe assumption - If he takes up an interest in football at a young age, he would most likely be aware of Chelsea simply because they have won a lot since he's been alive. The EPL is a big thing in America, to the point where local fans have had their say on people supporting PL teams over local teams - on top of that he was in an English academy in 2005.

Of course, we could assume that he was completely oblivious to all of our success as he was growing up?

Similar to the Palace game I thought. Just give it a bit of time. I can't recall going to Palace and dominating a game so much (apart from the last 5-10 mins) as we did. We know we need to improve up front as we're too reliant on Hazard. Sarri isn't stupid, he knows this. Plus all the injuries don't help.

A proper striker with a bit of movement or at least a bit of mean streak so he can bully his way through congested teams is desperately needed. If we get top 4, Icardi has to be up there - intelligent runs and deadly accurate. I really do think once we get a striker as good as the other teams in the top 6, we can start challenging for silverware again.

Yep. Giroud is a good squad player but has had a few niggles this season. Morata just hasn't cut the mustard - he's not suited to the PL. We're basically in the top 4 at the moment without a striker.

All the teams in and around us have much better striking options. Once this is addressed, plus the addition of a new CB, it will make us better.

Which of the two current centre backs are you unhappy with?

None. I like Christensen too - but feel we need another top class defender in the team/squad. Yes, I know Dave can cover there too.

What about all the ones out on loan?

Do we have a real class centre half out on loan? I'd actually like to bring one of the decent right back options like Sterling and move Azpi to centre back where I think he can be best.

If Sarri isn't stupid why does he persist with a system that doesn't work with a squad missing a centre forward?

Why make 20 passes (including 10 through Jorginho) only to find there's nobody in the box and then go back and start another 20 passes.

Anyhow how many teams have a proper centre forward? City and Liverpool play with 3 fast short ones. Utd play the Lukaku lump when desperate. Kane is the only decent centre forward in the top 6.

So while we're awaiting strengthening our squad why not play Kante in his proper position and Fabregas as the play maker knocking some probing balls forward to our 3 speedy midgets?

You tell me. I haven't seen half of them play.

Haven't you seen what Pep did with City? City weren't great in his first season. Do you think Pep totally change his football philosophy? No. Just give it a bit of time.

I get the issue here - the club has installed a manager who plays with a "philosophy" as opposed to a reactive style manager (Like Conte or Mourinho can be) - I guess on one side it is a lack of reaction that is annoying - but once we fill in the blanks (some of the current players) I really do think this team is capable of challenging.

By proper centre forward do you mean the old school big, powerful Shearer mold? As all the other clubs still have top quality strikers. Aguero, Auba - even Lacazette would (and currently do) offer a lot more than what we currently have.
