So you want to play the world's best defensive midfielder as a defensive midfielder? That might not actually be a bad idea.
Question for you twig , you seem pretty up on the rules , Do away goals count in The semi’s of the Rumbalow cup ?
No they don't. Which is lucky for Burton. If Man City sneak a goal, it would leave Burton needing 11, which would probably be beyond them.

Sarri has his philosophy. Much like Pep.

Pep obtained 78 points in his first season in charge. At our current PPG - we're on course to do that. And lets remember, Pep inherited a better squad than Sarri did.
Yep, and criticising Sarri because he won't change his philosophy seems a bit daft, as it was this philosophy that got him the job in the first place.

Is Pep playing Aguero at left back. Or Deruyne as a centre back. Until someone can explain the logic of playing Kante out of position, I can't get behind him.

Sarri's style is to dominate possession and control the pace of the game. You do that by having a holding player, a pivot at the base of the midfield (think Pirlo in his later years) and Jorginho is the player that can play that position well. I don't think Kante could play there in that role.

Now whether it's the right way to play is debatable and it seems Sarri is trying to fit square pegs into round holes to accomodate Jorginho. Personally I don't think that Jorginho is good enough, he can control the pace but he can't mix it up with longer, precise passing. I actually think Fabregas could play the "Jorginho role" better than Jorginho, maybe he didn't have the legs left to do it.

I think we have to keep our fingers crossed that Higuain can score enough to get us a top 4 finish (I have my doubts) and we'll see if we bring in some more Sarri style players in the summer.

Lots of chatter on here today - good to see.

Anyone brave enough to forecast a score for tomorrow night against Tottenham 'B'?

2-0 at least I'd imagine.

Pep didn't need to as Aguero and De Bruyne were performing. When he's used Morata, he's not performed. Giroud, good squad player for me, but no starter. The board hoped Morata would come good because of the big outlay on him. He's clearly not cut out for the physicality of the premier league as he just throws himself to the ground all the time.....hence the need to bring in Gonzalo.
As long as Sarri is there Kante will not revert back to his old position. Kante is actually playing well. It's others around him that need to up their game.

Apparently he's on the early flight this morning. Chelsea are hopeful to sign him before the noon deadline so he can play some part tomorrow night.

We played well when Spurs were full strength in the 1st leg, so can't see any reason why we can't tomorrow. Just got to hope we can find the back of the net.......twice and keep them out....

I guess Roman’s big chopper will be waiting at Gatwick / Heathrow & straight to Battersea or Cobham .

Sounding like a Clarkson / May - Hammond chase.

Yeah, still, at least on Friday we are only still in 3 competitions - I almost (but not quite) want us to exit the Champions League quickly as we have zero hope of anything there as well.

Can't get my head around chelsea not playing giroud.

You can't hit a barn door. If spurs score one the tie is over.

Just a medical to wrap up his registration by 12pm, it should get done. How long does a medical take?

I'd like to see Giroud start so we've set the system, Hazard likes to play with him, even he doesn't score his hold up play is decent and can bring in others. Higuain for last 30mins or so.

If we can get Higuain to the Bridge before 6:30 tomorrow evening should allow plenty of time to prepare, it's only Spurs.
