Anyone know what the story is with CHO tonight? Plays well Sunday, scores a nice goal, we keep him... and then he doesn't play, not even on the bench.

In other news, we're st tonight rolleyes
I can only presume the story is that Sarri must be a bit thick.

First he demotivates CHO.

Second, and more seriously, he thinks Higuain solves a problem but he seems to forget we never get the ball in the box, so we could have acquired the world's best centre forward but he'd never score.

I'm usually the last one to get fed up with management - they all need time, etc. But I'm sick of this insipid pass pass possession style, it's ineffective, boring rubbish. Teams know they can just sit off and we won't get through them, then hit us on the counter. No quality balls going in from wide; no wonder guys who depend on decent service (ie all of our strikers) can't score. Meanwhile, we continue to play our best players out of position. It's stubborn, stupid, bullst.

Anyhow I think I know the solution. Sarri needs to declare he's REALLY ANGRY.

That's the sad thing about this. Even if they get all the players they want, the style is fking awful to watch. Thousands of short passes all over the place, usually sideways, often backwards. Watching wingers drill crosses into the box was a lot more exciting.

And I hate all these new managers. You used to have to be able to adapt - to teams and situations. Get an injury, or a man sent off, you had to change the system. These days, they shrug, play the same one dimensional way, and blame it on the players. "It's my philosophy" shouldn't be an excuse for not being flexible. "Philosophy" my arse anyway, for fks sake, it's football!

I'd vote for no more Italian managers, they're too dogmatic.

Don't worry, 68% possession - that's what counts, right?

Surely a 4-0 defeat to Bournemouth is a sackable offence?

Dull, uninspiring football and you know how teams will set up against it every week, yet Sarri doesn't move an inch.

Time to go.

Well that tactic of publicly criticising the players sure worked wonders didn't it?

I’ve been patient but it’s clear Sarri is not upto it. His tactics are atrocious and the team is predictable and boring with no cutting edge, he’s playing some of the best players in the world in the wrong positions and refuses to change. I hate the continuous managerial merry go round but this guy is shockingly bad. He needs to go. Not sure who would be next, maybe a young manager, they can’t do any worse than this guy. People talking about Lampard, I’d love that, but it’ll never happen.

I suppose that once your main advantage - that of outspending the opposition to buy success - is negated, you return to being bang average.....

Oh well, it happens. Just ask Blackburn Rovers.

Too early for Lamps, let him earn his spurs out of the limelight. But we're a rescue job now, it's clearly not working and before long he'll lose the players (if he hasn't already). If he's too dogmatic to change then we're fked. How come every pundit & knowledgeable fan in the land is perplexed by the fact we're playing Kante where we are, when he's regarded as the best in the world in his position? He's won two leagues playing there FFS. And yet, every week he lines up in a forward position whilst Jorginho sits in his spot, playing a million ineffective short passes with nowhere near the defensive abilities of Kante - and with Luiz at the back, we need that more than ever for all his great passing ability. Meanwhile, Hazard has nobody to fire balls into, nobody to play off of effectively, and the more teams sit back the less effective he is. It's not fking rocket science, is it? I wouldn't use a Range Rover for a trackday, or a Caterham for a tip run, no matter how 'good' those vehicles are. Higuain must be wondering what the fk he's done, or how he's ever going to score.

You're right, things go up and down. You'd need a good memory to remember the good times back in 1961 though (I thought these forums were maturing in terms of wumming?)

Oh, and that's us out of the top 4 tonight. 10 goals behind Arsenal. 2 points ahead of Manu - and if they don't pass both us and the gooners I'll be shocked. No cups & 6th looks like our season. Manu have a fair few tough fixtures, but then so do we - City, Spurs, Liverpool, United & I'm sure we can find a bad result from Everton Leicester etc. Unless something changes....
