Ffs! The modern fan ...
Hardly. It’s an observation not a statement of desire. I don’t think Abramovich hasn’t shown much patience with managers in the past. The results have been poor but more worryingly the performances have been dire. The players don’t seem to know what they’re doing. As a result I think his position is in grave danger. FWIW I’d rather he stay but he needs help with coaching and tactics.
I also don't think it's controversial to say he gets a very easy ride from both fans and the media.

Here we go again... As Arsenal and Man Utd pull themselves together we just let it all go to pot.

What's Thomas Tuchel up to these days?

I still think you’re a threat but City really did turn it up to 11 for a while.
Franks a good guy and generally knows what he’s doing.

If Chelsea can't turn this around I think that's the league gone for another year.

After we lose this one we'll have 11 points fewer than we did at this stage under Sarri in 2018/19. But hey, trust in the process and Frank knows the club.

He’s gone. Hate to say it but this is going to cost him his job unless there’s a miraculous turnaround in the second half. Lampard will be sacked and Tuchel/Allegri will be appointed. Dire performance look totally lightweight, clueless and disorganised.

The club have collectively gone down the route of promoting and buying younger players - not sure it's all Lampard's fault if a lot of them aren't yet good enough. We probably over achieved last season so this is a reality check on where we currently are.

Personally I'd like to see him given at least until the end of the season - otherwise we might as well go back to buying over the hill players and changing the manager every time the team has a bad run.

Is it just the organisation and tactics?

Must admit the squad looks pretty good on paper with plenty of quality. Are there players you lot don’t rate?

They are all great players but other factors determine if they play well.

Not much to pick out of that other than CHO looked good coming on, wanted to take people on. Hopefully a confidence booster for Havertz too with the nice run and assist.

Kante is looking spent, caught too high up the pitch throughout the game and his passing has been poor for a while. The third goal in particular really poor from him to give it away like that as last man. Gilmour was far more composed on the ball and given things aren't working, he should get a run of starts for me. Need something to go for us to get out of this slump, not playing well and the little things aren't going our way either.

That doesn't look good, but equally you're only 3 points out of the top 4.

It's such a strange season.

I posted on the EFC thread that I find it surprising that nobody is asking the question about City pulling out of the Everton game on Monday because of a Covid outbreak, while providing little in the way of hard proof and then pulling Chelsea apart 6 days later.

Yep, we (United) got beaten 5-1 by Spurs and are now joint top! Chelsea only lost 3-0. No need to panic Mr Mannering!
