Decent game so far considering I was worried about Mount being rested, Kai is playing well and we are making space which is odd to see. CHO is going to be absolutely unbelievable soon enough imo, hard to believe the lad is only 20!

Yup, CHO had a great game tonight, Kai too making the pen. Still not convinced by Werner, he's taking a long time to settle in. Excellent result if we hold this...

Grew into it and should have scored more - how many chances does Werner need!? I was as disappointed as anybody that it didn't work out for Frank, but there's no denying we seem to play with a proper style and tempo now. If we can get Werner scoring (or solve the perennial problem of getting a top class 20+ striker in) we'll be pretty good shape.

Is Thomas Tuchel secretly like...the best manager in Europe? Or was Lamps just really not up to the basic organization?

Because this isn't the side we have been watching for the last year, certainly at the back.

A bit of both.

Lamps = inexperienced manager + loads of new players + lack of confidence.
Tuchel = very experienced manager + new manager bounce + confidence.

He's bloody good isn't he (so far). I like how he's very straight with the players, they know where they're at with him I think - train/play well, you're in. Don't give exactly what he wants, you'll be off or missing the next match. Simples. If we had someone banging in 20+ goals up front we'd be a team to reckon with. This match is wrapped up, surprised how comfortable it's seemed against such a tough side

Porto in the QF. Not easy, but they're definitely the weakest team left in. If we manage to get past them, Real of Liverpool in the SF. Both of whom are struggling. Perhaps I'm being stupidly optimistic but a place in the final suddenly looks remotely possible.
