Gutted, but well done lads.

Pep’s tinkering didn’t help us but you’ve got a good manager in Tommy Tuchel.

Can't quite believe that. Unreal. Would have enjoyed the last 15 mins a lot more if fking Pulisic had taken his chance. His miss and the resulting last period of nail biting probably took 10 years off my life expectancy.

MOTM...Reece James. Amazing. So happy for Kante, Silva and Azpi.

What a performance from everyone.
Man City seen as the best team in the world this year and Chelsea have gone and beaten them 3 times this year.

No excuses here from a City fan.

You were much better than us on the night, three wins out of three.

Enjoy it, you deserve it.

Have a great weekend.

Deserved win, well done Chelsea. I agree with Twig that James was MOTM, and Gareth Southgate must have seen how good he was. As were Chilwell, Mount, Walker and Foden. Good news for England - don't think there were any injuries to England players?
Good advert for English football as well.

Nice to get some positive comments from some City fans on here, we really did exceed our own expectations with that performance. Kante got m-o-t-m but James was also awesome with Stirling in his pocket. Great advert for premier league, just can't believe it was a 1-0 as both teams went for it from the kick off. "Champions of Europe" ..... we can sing it again next year !!!!

Well done the blues. Winning the big one is quite the achievement and you should savour the feeling, it can be a (very) long time between wins as we found out. Got your tactics right every time you played them when it mattered.

Gotta love comments like this. Fair. Balanced. Respectful. You've got the league this season, and with your quality I've no doubt you'll bag the CL in time. Fair play thumbup

Very decent of you.

Thought that was a good game.

I think Recce had a stormer, really good to see Christensen come on as a sub & play well, Havertez score the winner..... priceless... I’m convinced the lad is the real deal..... & scoring the winning goal in a CL final will convince him of it

Wow what an unbelievable performance from the whole team tonight, still can't believe it and no idea when I'll get to bed! Huge challenges, blocks, interceptions from Azpi, Rudi, Christensen, Chilwell and the rest! So pleased for Azpi and Thiago Silva to win it as the old heads especially. Reece is one hell of a player! Best part is got to watch the game with my old man, first one since the pandemic hit. Truly a night to remember.

Fair play to the City fans on here as well, hopefully all our lads perform in the Euros this summer.

What a game, glad City gave it there all. Im on cloud nine still.

My finger nails needed 3 weeks to grow back after Munich and Seven minutes extra time in Porto has meant I've needed to order Just for Men this morning.

Let's not forget Lampard who let the academy doves fly up to levels seen last night, just utterly insane how composed the academy boys have been in this cup.

In 2012 the final was won on emotion and heart with a team who knew they had to win, but last night feels like the perfect start of good things to come.

The photos of N'Golo Kante holding the trophy (that he seems barely bigger than!) with a mile wide grin is fabulous.

Agreed, there's no doubt Tuchel's got more out of the Chelsea squad since he arrived but IMO Lampard also deserves credit for showing faith in some of those younger players and giving them their chance in the first team. When we (Leeds) were beaten at Chelsea earlier in the season I thought at that stage you were the best team we'd played but obviously you weren't hitting that level often enough under Frank and he paid the price; perhaps the Chelsea job was a bit too much too soon for him but I daresay he'll be back in management at some stage, slightly older but probably a lot wiser!

No doubt whatsoever Chelsea deserved to win last night and congratulations to you; by their standards I thought City were poor although in fairness part of that was perhaps Chelsea didn't allow them to play the way they wanted. Nevertheless, I thought some of City's bigger players fluffed their lines when it mattered and they'll just have to dust themselves down and go again; however, they certainly have a squad capable of winning the Champions League and they'll once again be difficult to beat next season.

The first half was a great game, end to end , fast , technical. The second less open but by the standards of CL Finals that was a great game. Not sure what you were watching? Maybe a re-run of Liverpool - Spurs perhaps?

Still can’t believe we are champions of Europe. I had mates round to watch it that I haven’t seen for over a year because of Covid, I am the only chelsea fan (the others being Man Utd, West Ham, Fulham, Arsenal and Liverpool) and it’s the best night I’ve had in years. fking get in boys!

When do we get our "Champions of Europe (again)" thread title change?

Read an interesting comment in one of the papers ....2012 was the end of a journey, whereas 2021 is the start...

....it will be very interesting to see where this team can kick on to from here.

There are some outstanding young players at 21/22 yet to get close to their prime.

With the right additions, could be an interesting couple of years ahead
