Really toothless display, plenty of keep-ball with no real threat. we do look like a side that's just trying to see the season out while Everton were playing a cup final today (and will be doing for the next 5 games). Pickford was outstanding though when called upon, chose today to have his game of the season Just hope West Ham can beat Arsenal to keep us that bit further in front.

It’s looking dicey for 3rd. None of the remaining games are a given, with current form. The way we've been playing it wouldn't surprise me if we suddenly upped our game for the CF but lose to Leeds and Watford after gifting them goals. I'm struggling to understand what's going on, Dave has always been so reliable but apart from mistakes he seems to have become the angriest player on the pitch. Rudi & Chris DGAF, Romelu is crap, Werner tries but isn't good enough, Pulisic is lightweight, even Mason is off form. The wheels have really come off. This from a team that got 0-3 up at the Bernabeu (yes yes I know we then conceded, but still) only a few weeks ago. I'm sure the sanctions haven't helped but TT must be bemused, or is he fed up too?....
I wonder if many of the players and staff were expecting the club to have new owners by now, especially as the licence ends on 31st May.....
There were reports end of last week that the bidders still in the running were asked to up their bids by an extra £500m which seems bizarre given the end of may deadline....I wouldn't think the firm charged with managing the sale are in a position to demand such a thing....unless they have no real interest in whether the club survives or not....as the further this drags on, you would think the price would be coming down, not going up!!!
So is it the PL dragging their heels doing their background checks <cough> on the remaining preferred bidders or other things going on behind the scenes, but time is running out, and as each week passes, I guess some of the players are making their decisions now and are loosing interest......maybe even the coach is as well? There was a rumour last week about Mount as well, as he was another one that no contract extension could be discussed because of the club situation, and he maybe looking elsewhere.

Times are reporting Abromovich wants his loan paid back.. wouldn’t that make any sale pretty much a non starter?
They can report what they like, doesn't make it true. Why would he change a very publicly made statement? He's not allowed any money anyway, so it's pretty moot regardless of the veracity of the 'report'trackdemon said:

They can report what they like, doesn't make it true. Why would he change a very publicly made statement? There’s too much information in that article for it not to have some truth…when it was reported last week he’d asked for an extra £500mil it indicated the goalposts were being moved.
For this loan to get repaid would be a massive change….for both the buyers and the government. Abramovich is trying to leverage the fact that if he doesn’t green light the sale Chelsea are out of business. As it stands he either gets nothing or he gets his £1.5 bil loans repaid and in five years time he hopes sanctions get lifted and he can get at the money again. He’s got nothing to lose…it’s never good negotiating with someone in that position.

After this 1st half I quite fancy Liverpool a Wembley take 2
Sure about that? I was out of the ground before keppas kick had returned from orbit last time,
yet over 3 matches I never felt Liverpool were the better team on the day.
( I appreciate that the league table tells a different story)
