I don't think Sterling is as good as he thinks he is.....and is flattered by the team around him.

Would be a daft signing for CFC given the holes elsewhere in the squad as mentioned.

Really not sure about this Sterling rumour, he's never stood out enough at City, would he stand out at his third top 4 club.

He has zero aerial ability, doesn't track back well from what I ever see and is getting on if he's coming in on big salary.

I feel like Sterling has always had the potential to become maybe one of the top 10 players in the world, but never quite took that last step up in performance.

Sterling is a very good player ,from an outsider's perspective who do you have that is better ?

He'll get more goals than the likes of Werner and Ziyech but I think he's a bit of a tap in merchant who offers little else. Holds on to the ball too long and runs down blind alleys so if the club do sign him I hope he proves me wrong.

Erm... Mane (admittedly just leaving), Salah, Diaz?

biggrin It seems I mistook which thread I had wondered into.

Personally I think Ziyech and Havertz are better than Sterling. Slightly different types of player, but ultimately they're there to provide assists and score the odd goal.

Still, at £30m odd, it's not a bad deal for a very good quality English winger/forward.

Looking at our finishing, a tap in merchant might be exactly what we need hehe

Easy to get mixed up since Chelsea and Liverpool are spelt almost the same and both teams wear the same colour .

Looks like Petr Cech has just stepped down following the takeover. Apparently he wasn't happy that Lukaku wasn't kept for another season.

I believe that means that your new owner is now also your Chairman, sporting director, and DOF?

Looks like the new Chelsea owner is following the Spurs owner playbook.

Most of us would have been unhappy if he had been kept!\

He doesn't fit what Tuchal seems to want & he wasn't happy.

Maybe Petr wanted to try him in goal?

Couldn't be any worse than as a striker

Evening all. I’m searching for tickets. Either august 13 or 27 . I think those dates are good for home games. One adult one child as a minimum. This is for a dear friend from overseas who is a passionate Chelsea fan and wants to take his 10 yo son. He’s my brother from another mother so to speak. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. I’ll pay for the tickets for them as it’s probably a once in a lifetime event for the young boy.

I don't think they are on sale yet, keep an eye on the website for the dates.
