If we play Cesc and Bakayoko together in the middle this weekend we have had it. The former has been poor in recent weeks & I think Bakayoko needs a few games out. Should Kante somehow be fit we should be playing him and Drinkwater and stick to a back 3 and not change those individuals for a few games, seems to be a combination of lack of help from the midfield and too many changes.

Agreed, we need to park the bus and go ugly.

To be fair that's what we will be doing too yes. Question is, is Jose's Ugly Bus better than Conte's?

Is this the best of times or the worst of times to play us?

Are we going to get rolled over or will there be a positive reaction to Roma?

Good article in the Times today by Matt Hughes about what went on (allegedly) during the summer. If it's true, then Conte does sound like hard work as an employee.

What was the gist of it?

Basically, got a bit too big for his boots following winning the league and basically demanded the club should be run his way. Wanted to sideline a few key people that RA has had around him since day one. Overplayed his hand.

Then, when he didn't get his way, decided to be a bit childish and text the club constantly for about a month demanding minute by minute updates on transfer target progress.

So the club just played along and answered all his texts, hundreds a day. So then when he saw that plan hadn't worked, he went awol for 2 weeks in the summer and was uncontactable. The club didn't actually know if he was still our manager!

Eventually RA called a meeting and managed to get things on an even keel, and an increase to £9m a year helped.

But in short, lots of people at the club want him gone but RA want's to keep him. But AC isn't an easy bloke to like apparently and even RA may be getting to the end of his tether.

Good luck today gents, This must be the first time i've wanted Chelsea to win a game of football.

It will be a sad day if the Lord of anti football bores us to death with yet another drab 1-0 victory.

More Tony Hately I’d say.

Been on a course all weekend so only managed to catch the second half. Kante makes such a difference to this team and Christensen is looking a class act. Wonderful header from Morata! Great response to the horror show in midweek

Great response after the midweek shambles, and shows the team are playing for him

Chalk and cheese compared to Rome. Great performance and outplayed them. Beating United used to be a useful yardstick but now I'm not so sure because United are only 28 inches at best.

Emenalo has resigned. Big news considering how much Roman has trusted him these past 10 years!
