Shame really, after we’d climbed another place yesterday...

Well we will never threaten the top 4/5's of the table on our spending and team.

Surely the goal yesterday would have been to have kept the scoreline "respectable"; attempting solely to defend against that front-line for 90 minutes was lunacy.

Still in shock, agree attempting to defend our way to staying in the Premier isn't going to work.

You only need 14 wins to stay up.... man City away was never going to be one of them... so not to worry.

We’re currently only six points off European football...

If we can score goals like that at the other end we'll be fine!

Enough to make one have a conversion back towards booze on the "How much do you really drink" thread.

Still, on the bright side, after last season's efforts with Brechin City it can't be that bad, can it? Someone reassure me, please.

I’m still optimistic. Last season was dropped points galore - especially over Christmas - and we’ve had a years premiership experience now. We’ll pick up and a few others will start faltering.

I might regret my disparaging comments about Brechin City and it can't be any worse etc. rofl

And annoyingly there’s no sight of any points turning up soon. But, how are we doing compared with last year? Last year was a relatively gentle start we capitalised on; have we actually lost many games we didn’t lose last year?

I've been trying to think of happier times, looked for some old photos. I wasn't around for this one, obviously, but guess what came up. FML

1930 FA Cup Final Arsenal v Huddersfield, lost 2-0 and yes that IS the Graf Zeppelin.

Terrible in comparison to our start last year - we were at least scoring goals and making things happen to begin with, we can't buy a goal at the moment. Gonna be a long season!
