So, Allardyce saying the new diving ban is utter rubbish.....is he therefore saying that diving is acceptable?

Heard him on the radio. Struck me that he was taking the opportunity to have a dig at the FA - subject matter seemed a bit irrelevant.

The biggest problem with the diving 'ban' is that it doesn't change the course of the game. If a team benefits from a dodgy dive in the 88th minute, then a ban later on is fine...

in some ways i'm glad something is finally been done about it, but it should be there and then (i.e. video review) rather than after a game.

Whilst I'd also like "there and then", I am hoping that the fact it WILL be reviewed after should hopefully be a big enough deterrent to stop it happening in the first place.

He's just walked out on Palace and left them up st creek.

He's obviously been in talks with someone else behind their back and has a new job lined up.

I find him an utterly disgusting man.

He says he's getting out of football completely. No other job in the offing. Rumour doing the rounds that he's lost someone in the Manchester bomb, so instantly decided to get out and spend time with his family.

Probably nonsense but who knows?
