Better than the men have managed since 96...I think they've been great in the tournament !

The woman's cricket team just let out a sigh of relief.

SPOTY team is theirs now smile

I do think it's unfair that they are continually being compared to the men's team. In my opinion they done rather well.

I think "great" is an exaggeration. I'm not sure they've had a shot on target all match yet. If they have it certainly didn't make the dutch goalie make a save. There's a lot of hype around ladies sport at the moment and it's easy to get caught up in it but this is not a good game of football.

Please can we avoid daft jingoistic labelling? The ladies don't look anything like lions and anyway a lioness would more likely attack a spectator than dribble a ball past another player.
sigh!!!! There is always one oh well have it your way.

I wasn't using great in the context of this game but as a reflection on how far they've progressed in the tournament...blimey, talk about sucking all the enjoyment out of something... frown

Yup hehe

Gosh, two really poor / unlucky goals there for the second and third, most disappointing.

Was this the men's team in drag? But well done ladies for getting this far. Just cannot produce it at the highest level, rinse and repeat sadly.

It's interesting you can see the same flaws as the men's game; a lack of overall technical ability and being able to keep the ball. We get away with it against most teams, but as soon as we run into a decent outfit it's over.

Not great tonight but 10/10 for effort. Heads never dropped, never stopped running. Great attitude. Compare that to the men in South Africa in 2010.

It's worth pointing out that despite their much smaller population, Netherlands has more registered female players than england.
Something not right there!
