Same old England, always disappointing
Better than the men have managed since 96...I think they've been great in the tournament !
I think "great" is an exaggeration. I'm not sure they've had a shot on target all match yet. If they have it certainly didn't make the dutch goalie make a save. There's a lot of hype around ladies sport at the moment and it's easy to get caught up in it but this is not a good game of football.
I'd agree. But it's quite refreshing to see the ladies having a go, and they bring a youthfulness of spirit into certain sports that have become slightly tawdry, ie mens' football, tennis..even boxing. Not sure I'd bother with ladies rugby though.

They didn't have a go last night though. The tactics and defending were a bit Sunday League.

As you mention Euro96. England were mostly rubbish in that tournament. Other than beating a hopeless Holland team. Which in my opinion reflects how the women fared in this tournament.

100% right. We were also largely rubbish at Italia 90. Trouble is, we've been so bad for so long that as soon as we hit the dizzy heights of almost mediocre, it's remembered, wrongly, as worldbeating.
