Early days but I would say that's you lot FUBAR for the league. That is if you had any aspirations of winning it.
Yep - need to get act together asap to even be in for a shout of fourth.

Definitely struggling.

I can see why you stick with Milner. A bit dull but steady as. Did a lot of solid work. The defence was bobbins and the midfield and attacked just seemed to want to be part of a different team to them.

The issue today wasn't the system - just proper fk ups. And it's not the first time.

Top four is long gone, we need to concentrate on finishing in the top half.

And you know all that for a fact do you? Of course not. None of us do. I'll certainly moan and complain that our defending is crap but not about the reasons why, when I have no idea what those reasons are.
What has Klopp done about the defence ?
Read what I said?! WE DON'T KNOW.

The same players
The same formation
The same mistakes
Kind of says he has done nothing.

We know some of what he has not done though...

Who does take responsibility if not him then?

Disappointing but fully expected.
Spurs are a very good team so congrats to them.

The plan now has to be damage limitation until January then spend big on the defence. ( and somehow -probably impossible- hang on to Phil )

If Klopp doesn't replace the CB's and possibly bring in a DM then I think it's fair to start calling him out.

Or it says they metaphorically stick 2 fingers up and don't listen. I'm not suggesting for one second he's not responsible - he's the boss after all. Just that we don't know what he is or isn't doing.

He has to take responsibility - he's the boss. Not suggesting otherwise.

But maybe the players have to take responsibility too. It's them that are fking up every week.

He ditched a CB who had a reasonable defensive partnership with Lovren. He bought in two of his own, one of which is out of his depth.

He plays a left winger at left back, ignoring other options at hand.

He could play Can/Henderson/Milner as a CDM in front of the vulnerable back 5 and doesn't.

I'm not convinced he's interested in defending.

However, Watford have scored more than us.........

In the 'my topics' section of PH is have a thread titled

'When enough is enough' just before this thread. Quite apposite - is that it for Lovren?

I said it on here not long after you signed him and he started wobbling. He needs a competent CDM in front of him to protect him.... he had Wanyama and Schneiderlin at Southampton but he has no guard at Liverpool. Fonte looks poor at West Ham too for a similar reason.

It will be all very well spending megabucks on VVD in January or next summer but if you don't have a decent CDM in front of him, it'll be a waste of money.

Awful does not cover it.

Fair play to Spurs though, if they can keep the team together they are the ones most likely to beat City.

I can see where you are coming from but it would have made SFA difference today.

2 genuine Lovren brain farts.
Keeper punching like John Inman and the header from Matip, which again was probably down to the keeper.

We could have had Kante Keane Dave Mackay and Billy Bremner in midfield and it would have made no difference today.

I thought Henderson, your captain, was your first choice CDM?

No, he is our short side pass specialist.

This comment is like deja vu. From 2 years ago.

Agree about today, Des, but overall since he's got there, he has been let down by the lack of a specialist CDM. This has led him to lose any confidence he had and hence he ends up making ricks like today. Certainly wouldn't have helped today though, as you say.
