I’m not suede I regret letting Suso go. Sure he’s a talent, but he’s a step down from Coutinho.

I do hope Can stays though, but also finds consistency in his performances.

You been following him much in Italy.. he has been brilliant
Watched a few games he has been playing...
They have also put an 80m price on his head..Always had all the ability in the world for me..Just never got a long run
Should have been loaned for 2 years

This year he is in fire
27 games
7 goals
9 assists

You should never wrote young players off whoclearly have loads of ability
Think he was 21 when we let him go.. he is 24 now

Suso had several goes at making that shirt his own and never took them - we did the right thing letting him go. If he blossomed somewhere else there's no guarantee he would perform as well in the Prem, even now. He may do, of course - but equally, he might just be flourishing in a league that gives him a bit more time on the ball.

As for Can - I always love it when players say "my agent is taking care of all that, nowt to do with me". If Can was so keen to stay, he'd tell his agent that and the agent would sort it. Clearly there are financial provisos he and his agent want in place and Liverpool do not. If Can maintained some consistency I'd say he'll be a loss if he goes - but he never does. On his game, he looks great. Most of the time he's thinking about going shopping, or whatever...

Look at Phil at his age..doing nothing at Inter
Coming to Liverpool and really only getting consistent in the last 2 years from 24

Suso had opportunities.

I take any stats with a pinch of salt. They need a weighting factor that reflects quality of opposition.

I dont think anyone is saying he didn't
But at 21 in his position you should not be too quick in making judgement - how many 20-year-olds do you see tearing up their leagues in that position - the creative players tend to come into their own at 24+ (bit like Fergie said about Jessie)
We sold him for 1m so basically nothing - he should have been sent out on a 2-year loan or sold with a buy-back fee placed in

Anyway not losing sleep over it, was just saying I think Can if sold will become a player we regret selling

No-one's writing Suso off. I said: "...no guarantee he would perform as well in the Prem, even now. He may do, of course..."

Not sure why he'd want to come back anyway - he may still feel he can do more over there, where he's finally flourishing. Probably just paper talk anyway.

No thanks. The mancs would crucify us, as we did them for Pogba, after selling for nothing and buying back at vast expense. For that reason alone is rather not.

Sounds petty.

That's exactly what I was thinking!

After seeing the team blitz Man City at the weekend - do we need another player in the Coutinho mold?

It's a different challenge when a team sits back and doesn't try to play open football.

I think we definitely need at least one more established "forward focused" player now Sturridge is off the scene.

This

We would be fine with that team against any team having a go, as its a pressing team and a team that can break with pace

Give us a team that sit backs, so everyone bar 4 out of the league and you need someone to pick the passes - that is not Ox or Lallanas game

Maybe see if Jan Molby fancies a crack at it. It’s not like he’ll have lost any mobility.

What about Mkhitaryan - Klopp got the best out of him previously, clearly not rated/trusted by Mourinho and appears from paper talk today that he doesn't fancy Arsenal either........Utd got him for £26m so a cheeky bid for £20m?

They must need to get their wage bill down to accomodate Sanchez's demands which, if stories coming out of Man City are true in that it would obliterate their current wage structure, must be colossal.

At 28 he might not fit the FSG pattern but get 4-5 years out of him he could be good value......

I dont believe klopp and him saw eye to eye

Also he is a massive drop in talent compared to Coutinho - would rather wait

I can imagine Suso and his agent demanding first team football at a high level and thinking more loan periods would be beneath him etc. As such, sold on.

Can is now saying that the issue is a release clause in his contract, something I think should become commonplace. I imagine there will then be issues about the value. £20m? £30m? I'm not 100% certain Can himself is sure what he wants.

Sanchez demanding so much salary City won't do it!

Bordeaux coach in a press conference about Malcolm moving in January came out with this...

“If Liverpool want you to work for them tomorrow, you’d go,”

Interesting...
