Made up figures for a start.
No deal been done yet.
Only united transfers are constantly broken down into total costs,or did vvd just cost you 70-75m ? You pay no agent fees,no salary?
As a percent of turnover united are amongst the lowest wage payers so it’s easily affordable .
I think we can all agree it’s insanity but these are market conditions .
How do you know they're made up figures? No deal been done yet.

VVD will cost us in total around £130m, despite the transfer fee being more than double the transfer of Sanchez and VVD being one of the best paid defenders in the Premier League.
Personally I have no issues with the transfer. There still doesn't seem to be any coherent strategy to Utd's player signings. Attack was not an area where they needed a player earning £400k and he's in the fading light of his career. I imagine he'll help Utd get top four this season, but how good he's going to be after this season is anyone's guess. Plus it seems he likes a good tantrum, so rather see him in Utd's dressing room than anyone elses.

Their is a mercenary element to the game sure, but being happy to sign for City on Monday and signing for Utd on Thursday, is taking the piss in my book.
He genuinely couldn't give a fk about Utd, yet he'll be their hero once he signs on the dotted line.
Just doesn't sit right with me.
No doubt he'll come out that it was dream to play for them when he a youngster playing in the streets of Chile...

He hasn't even signed yet, but the papers are privy to the finer details of his contract, okVVD will cost us in total around £130m, despite the transfer fee being more than double the transfer of Sanchez and VVD being one of the best paid defenders in the Premier League.

So an average defender is costing 130m but if we pay 180m for one of the best attackers in the league we are fools
Have you seen our right wing? Its largely empty, we need someone in attack, Sanchez is a perfect Mourinho winger, great in attack and tracks back, fading light? He's 29 (in fact he only turned 29 3 weeks ago) he's in his prime. Show me evidence of a tantrum? Or is it a case you believe everything you read in the papers?
The money is irrelevant as it's all relative and that's just the way the game is heading.
I think it's a good signing if/when it goes through, I'd like him in our team ("to replace who blah blah, back off vultures") as there's no harm in competition for places.
I did however think that Mkyt was a good signing too.
Anyway, everyone is a mercenary, all of us would jump companies to another that promises more in every way conceivable.

How is it not made up?no deal has been done.what happens if united swap mhiki? There goes your 30m transfer fee, signing on fee ‘estimated ‘
And that’s without factoring in if mhiki is swapped then his salary is offset against part of Sanchez’s.
How do you know united have not negotiated his supposed salary demands ?
But hey it must be true it’s in a newspaper !

The deal is worth a staggering £180 million! ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MILLION POUNDS.
Salary: £121.5m Total Contract (27m a year before tax, over four-and-a-half year. 400k a week)
are football years different?Salary: £121.5m Total Contract (27m a year before tax, over four-and-a-half year. 400k a week)
£27m / 52 weeks = £519k/week
genuine question - I;ve always assumed they get paid their obscene wages for all 52 weeks

Why would a player from Chile give a st about a club in Manchester before signing (he may gain an appreciation whilst there, he may not).
He will want to sign for a club of stature, with deep pockets to invest, decent manager and will pay him his massive wage demands. Just like any of us (minus a few zeros) he will chose a job balancing out those few factors. He wanted to work for Pep but maybe they offered 100k per week less, so he doesn't want to work for Pep as much anymore!
History doesn't count for much these days. He joined a big club with history Arsenal, and look at their trajectory now.
I hoped he would go abroad or to City, as he would strengthen any team other than City a lot

Is Mkhitaryan worthless? If we sold Mhiki for 30m and paid 30m for Sanchez would that calculation have a fee in it?
The same way they dont account for us getting 150k a week off the wage bill for Mhiki
Its just a load of guesses and supposition with a smattering on BS
How many times, money is irrelevant in football now, as fans I cannot see why you/I would care about player costs and wages?!
Performance, track record, attitude all things worth looking at, money couldn't care less its not going to affect any of us in here discussing it, its a pointless discussion!

I dont understand why people even mention it, they think its bad now will only get worse - Amazon and Facebook probably going to come into the equation soon which mean more £££
which means bigger fee's and more on wages
Unless every fan in the country makes a stand against ticket prices we will never see any of it... that will never happen so just brush it off anytime you hear anything about a fee or wage
