replacing vantage rear side marker light?
Discussion
Ok. Rich was helpful. He said that the fender liner has to come out. According to my shop manual since I have a roadster I have to take the centre undertray off, which means I have to get the car up on a lift (which I don't have) or perhaps get it up on 4 stands.
Is there a workaround with this project that will allow me to avoid taking off the centre undertray before I can take out the fender liner in order to change the right rear side marker light?

I haven't done it on a Roadster before, so I don't know how it's different. I've never had to remove anything but the wheel to get the fender liner out of coupes, and I honestly don't know why you'd need to on a Roadster.
The fender liner is held in place with Torx bolts and Philips-head screws. The rear fender liners are harder to remove/re-install than the fronts because they have a heat shield attached to the trailing edge, and that makes the rear part of the rear fender liners somewhat rigid and therefore a little harder to work with.
On the left-hand side (driver side in the US), you also have a drain hose attached to the fender liner, so keep that in mind as you work with it. The clips are visible, just to the rear of the coilover (spring and strut), so they're easy to find, you just need to remember them as you're pulling the fender liner out and later when you're reinstalling it.

You might be referring to a USA specification car.
In the UK, the four amber marker lights are not fitted, so PHers here might not be familiar with how to remove.
There are some US posters on here though, who perhaps can help.
Yeah, we've got them in the US, which is a little annoying. Especially since they're orange in front and red in the rear. Add in the white side repeaters, and there's a whole bunch of mismatching going on. I've got some matching lights finishing up manufacturing right now, but it's a pain for us. I ended up removing mine by swapping over to the European (ROW, technically) rear bumper, and the GT4 front bumper (which is based on the Euro/ROW front bumper). In the UK, the four amber marker lights are not fitted, so PHers here might not be familiar with how to remove.

Thank you for that guidance. I'm not sure why the difference in coupe verses roadster, unless the undertray is different and has a role to play in providing more stiffness. I'm going to try taking the liner loose without dropping the center undertray and see if I can at least reach in to take the side marker fasteners out. There is condensation in that light, and I understand that if it is dried out the light might work again. If not, I'll replace it.
The extra bracing panel under the car might be what they're referring to, but you don't have to remove that if you don't want to. You only need to get at the rear end of the fender liner, so you can leave the front bolted in (which is where that panel is) and let the rear of the fender liner hang out of the way while you swap the corner marker.
