Agree with Trippier being singled out as the best player.

Was also happy with Henderson.

Young shouldnt be near the team, hopefully Rose is fit enough for the next game.

But good on them, carried on pressing, and got what they deserved - never a penalty and yet missed two rugby tackles on Kane.

Well done England!

Looking forward to see Columbia. They were such a breath of fresh air in 2014.

If memory serves me right, they were robbed in 2014 when Brazil scored a late free kick, that wasn't a free kick. After Rodriguez was kicked from pillar to post by Brazil.

Ooops, Columbia down to 10 men for deliberate handball stopping a goal. Penalty...

What on earth was Sanchez arguing about. He did t. The ref saw it. The asst ref would have seen it. VAR would have seen it. What's the point in standing there for 5 mins protesting his innocence.

No guarantee VAR would have caught it based on last nights efforts ;-)

Lets just hope the poor chap isn't assassinated when he gets back home!

I'm liking Columbia's response. Giving it everything, but poor decision making in last quarter is costing them.

Dodgy free kick, but brilliantly taken.

How the Japanese goalkeeper can claim it’s not in is ridiculous, all the technology that caught Sanchez out will prove this went in.

yet again the stupidity of footballers knows no bounds

ten camera angles, goal line technology has existed for years, it always works, the ref gets a signal on his wrist - but oh no I'll drag back over the goal line and cling on to like a newborn baby, and I'll fool everyone

We're still in the first round of first round matches, and there have already been more free kick goals (4) in 2018 world cup than the entire 2014 world cup (3).
