The shower in the ensuite has started to play up. I now have to turn the tap well into the hot zone. It is also extremely sensitive in that it goes from scalding to freezing in the slightest of twist. Will this be fixable?

I know nothing about plumbing and can't identify the control unit to even find a manual. I am concerned that if it requires replacing I will have to rip the tiles off to gain access.

I would grateful for any advice, links etc

I could be wrong but it looks like some variant of a Hansgrohe / Grohe. Possibly a Grohtherm Auto 2000?

Do a bit of searching online and see if that checks out. If so, there should be youtube vids explaining how to disassemble and replace the cartridges, etc.

Thank you, that's a great help. I still can't find the exact model but can hopefully work out from there.

Just seen the price of replacement cartridges! Hopefully I can do a bit of descaling

I think it's a trevi therm or trevi boost. I had a trevi boost and would periodically take the cartridge out and soak it in white vinegar for a day to descale it successfully.

Definitely a trevi, the boost is the one that has a cold main feed to it, this gives it more power than a std gravity Therm shower, The therm could be gravity or pumped.

Ideal Std have a good web site for spares, something like, fastparts or similar.

Thanks all. Took the caps and cover off today. Doesn't look too tricky to take out the cartridge however it is held in with grub screws at 12 & 6 o'clock. Not a problem other that I can't access them due to tiles too close to the unit, blocking access. I think I'll need to obtain some kind of multi-tool to chip away part of the tile to gain access.
