I think the best scenario would have been just to subsidise the travelling fans out of their own vast pockets rather than the Seville fans.
and how the hell does that send a message to other European clubs not to take the piss out of travelling Utd (or could be Spurs) fans in futureAdam B said:

I'm well familiar with the situation & i think that at the end of the day United have done a good thing but they are still taking the piss out of the travelling fans.
I think the best scenario would have been just to subsidise the travelling fans out of their own vast pockets rather than the Seville fans.
It's not their fault that their owners are being greedy.
What message does that send to the next team we play? It basically says, increase the price to whatever you want and then United will subsidise it, while our fans still get to watch the away leg at a fair price. The message is clear in the letter from United. If you take the piss out of our fans the we will do the same to you a,d rebate it to our fans. It puts the pressure on Seville to either drop their prices back, or rebate the extra that we’re charging thus negating Seville’s extortion. I think the best scenario would have been just to subsidise the travelling fans out of their own vast pockets rather than the Seville fans.

Seville have not done nothing wrong or broken any rules , they know that the United fans will come if it's £50, £75 or even £100.
It's all very well for a huge club like united to keep prices pretty low but for teams like Seville this is a huge chance to keep their head above the water & continue to compete at the very top level.
I get that we all want prices to be low but for the smaller teams it's just not viable .
I dread to think what the Spurs are going to charge for their game against Juve.
If Harry don't want to pay it then Tom will.
I knew i'd get pelters for my post but it's just my opinion.
Good night to you all

United are just robbing the Seville fans to give to their own fans.
United could ‘rob’ Sevilla fans and keep the money ,it makes the same statement about ripping off united and British fans .United are just robbing the Seville fans to give to their own fans.
However they are giving to the fans so they are subsidising the fans.

Yes, ripping off a few thousand travelling fans will make all the difference. I mean, it’s not like there’s any money for playing in the Champions League. It's all very well for a huge club like united to keep prices pretty low but for teams like Seville this is a huge chance to keep their head above the water & continue to compete at the very top level.

Please stick to the goodnight, it’d be great if it was a permanent farewell though.

Apply the same logic to United. See, it's not that hard is it. It's all very well for a huge club like united to keep prices pretty low but for teams like Seville this is a huge chance to keep their head above the water & continue to compete at the very top level.

I don't think he was grassed up. The mods did a fairly draconian spring clean and quite a few got the chop.
A few got banned for relatively minor things Inc ord for next to nothing. The irony above though is just fantastic, a guy that's already been banned so had to come back under a different name complaining to the biggest troll on the forums about how to get someone banned.
It's fking brilliant, I don't know how they keep straight faces.

Sadly he isn’t exclusive to threads, we had him here before you guys got him banned from yours. Out of interest what tipped the mods to act?

Maybe i should post an ' Ask a banned Liverpool thread poster anything " thread.I think i got banned for sticking up for Red Trident , At least he's not come back under an alias yet like some clearly have.
The mods never gave me a reason, probably just an admin error but i'm not going to question their decision but i know the guys are missing me over there.
I think that ORD chap got banned too.

I am more than happy for the Mods to do whatever investigation is required as I have never had a previous account on pistonheads.
