Sky sports reporting we're in for Sanchez....
I'd have him over Ozil any day of the week
Totally diff type of playerI'd have him over Ozil any day of the week
Surely more about what position you need to fill most ?
Well, FA Cup fever has hit a certain part of Somerset this morning as our tickets went on sale to season ticket holders this morning. Long queues snaking along from the ticket office window as each person was told they were restricted to a handful of tickets (which of course down here, is six!)
Bit of controversy about ticket prices... seems we tried to cash in by asking for the price to be way higher but MUFC negotiated us down to £35 a ticket which is the same price as the 2014/15 game apparently. My two youngest lads and I will be fine as we work for the club so will have media access to the match, albeit restricted from our normal AAA status.
My older two children and their partners want to come but as they have no season tickets, living away etc and they have collected no tokens from previous games (4 tokens = 1 ticket), next priority is to get one token each for next weekend's game v Chesterfield and queue up overnight on Sunday 21st / Monday 22nd. That will mean buying four tickets that may not get used, although I have my lads asking their mates if they want to come along. That said, selling Yeovil v Chesterfield to them is proving an issue, especially to their Bristol City supporting mates who have seen United and City in the past month.
Anyone coming down to the game? I'd rather it had been Sunday afternoon but with us playing Grimsby on the Tuesday after and you at the Spuds the night after, it was always likely to be on the Friday prime time slot.

I was gonna come down and see my old ma but seems a bit silly without a ticket and will mean a day off work, she's loving it though, she's always enjoyed it when the town goes a bit nuts like thisuk66fastback said:

Stuff
How much do Yeovil make from the TV? I seem to remember Forest being paid £90k from the Beeb back in the 90s for an FA Cup match but can't remember against who - they were still a big club then ...franki68 said:
well not quite a first but I am actually hoping Liverpool beat city this weekend. Its not good for us ,but city really do need to get beat .
I agree with the sentiment, but with the league over and done with, I can't bring myself to want the scousers to win. In some way, it's a win win situation though.
I’m confused by this apparent bidding war for him. Why doesn’t either (or even both) side, just sign a pre-contract thing with him for next season, save £30m and give him a whacking great salary as a result? Does either team really need him for the remainder of this season? It’ll also mean Arsenal probably wouldn’t play him either, as his heart wouldn’t be in it.
